My guess is that it's simply cheaper and easier to stock and replace spare parts that are all the same color and don't need painting.

The reason why I painted the whole thing white is because im going for the solid white look. I just think it would look better. I seen the triangle black on a lot of cavys, but i think my approach will come out much sleeker when finished. All is left is the door handles and some touching up on the door itself. Somene keyed my driver side door a while back and it needs repairing.
Did you do it or have someone else do it? How much either way, please. I am trying to decide to paint mine all the way or just the mirrors and leave the other part black. I think i am leaving it black after your pics. To each his own.

I had my body shop do it for me. I costed about 109 tax and all for me. Not too bad for a quality job with base coat and clear coat.
I thought about leaving the triangle black but I like to be different. Thanks for all the comments. Also, my driver side mirror had some imperfections in it, so I kinda had to do the whole thing. Either way, I like the mirrors painted other than the stock black.
