if you havnt done the oil pan yet, just buy the one from www.miller-performance.com
just clean the hell out of everything and polish a lot of it!! hehe
if i were you... id paint the HO manifold and your IDI cover gloss black, polish the fuel rail and lines, and maybe paint the cam towers/side timing chain aluminum cover your car's body color, which i think is manta green right?

Brad
You could probley help me with the trany install and dropping the engine in or anything else i have to do.
The oil pan i already have cut apart and have the aluminum bent for it all i need to do is buy some welding rod for my friends dad to weld it.
wow looks very nice can't wait to see the results
14.425 @ 97.833 mph stock + GMPP s/c on drag radials.
Well I am hoping to have it done this spring.
But i dont know because i need HPT and i dont really know how to run the program or no how to tune.
So I am trying to find some one with HPT that will tune it for $150-$200 or ill buy the program and try not to mess something up.
nice setup right there
good luck with the rest of the build and can not wait to see the end product
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
paul- didnt u say u ported ur head urself?
if so..could u get some close ups of the ports?
looks good...
with the higher compression, larger exhaust, and longer duration cams (260*/.377"-268*.375"), I would put you at about 200hp or so to the wheels (based off of my build and HP) with a good tune. I would go ahead with the Knife edging on the crank, and have it lightened up....... on a N/A motor, the lighter the rotating assembly, the better.

I would have a shop do it cause your taking weight off the end of the crank which would make it go off balance.
Team GREEN
about the only thing i can see that might not be good on your head is the piece of metal that divides the 2 valves on the intake ports... you really need to have those knife edged... with that rounded over edge it will create a lot of turbulance.... thats my understanding of it, if anyone can correct me on that please do!
Iam still thinking about takeing the intake side apart and shapen it a bit more.
I think the exhaust may be a little to small also.
I post pics of the ports up close somtime today.
yea, have the crank worked on by a machine shop...... have them knife edge the counter weights, champher the oiling holes, micro polish the bearing journals, then balance everything..... while its there, have them swap the oil drive gears.
