well a little update, we got some work done on the car this weekend, spyder j and s1lver nips came out as usual to help with the build. we got th old rack an pinion out of the car and i cleaned up all the dust and grime from the body shop. then we looked into the wiring on the new motor. im going to be mounting the ecu and the fuse box under the dash so we looked into that and think we have that figured out. after that we took some parts off and i got started polishing the transmission. didnt turn out to bad, i almost got it finished tonight. heres the pics, not the best

jason-ecotecforum said there shouldn't be much heat from the ecu so our placement is good.

manta said to be sure to polish the underside of the tranny too. you can tilt it up at shows and put mirrors under it to showcase it.

Only the Ecotec I think, all the other motors have a cast iron block

yeah i'll be clear coating it so it doesnt dull, thing with the block is its that styrafoam poured and not sure how it will take to polishing. im just going to take it one piece at a time and see how far i can take it. my money has dwindled down this year do to my work taking back our car allowance (bastards) so the supercharger may have to wait till next year. so just trying to concentrate on getting the engine bay and engine to look as clean as i can get.
