These are the first pictures I've ever posted up here.. unfortunately, it's because I was in an accident. I know what you're all probably thinking.. "Wow, a stock cavalier crashed.. that's uncommon.. /sarcasm". It pretty much is stock, the only mods I've really done are suspension (pro-kit w/ monroe sensatracs, front/rear strut bar, front sway bar..then I debadged / removed side molding.. big whoop). Now, let me give you a little context to go along with the pictures. The streets are wet from raining a few hours ago, I'm doing about 45 on Ulmerton Road (speed limit where I was at was 50) coming up to a red light.. I'm slowing down, get to about 30-35 and a 2006 Mazda Tribute pulls in front of me (about 10-20 yards in front) while he was going about 5-10 in the center lane (there was no one in front of him). I hit the brakes immediately and naturally I do a nice little slide (I have a lot of tread, but they aren't great tires for wet conditions) right into his ass. Now, onto the pictures.
I'm not too pissed here, it's not THAT bad.. hood damage and other stuff, but nothing major. Then I pop the hood (amazingly enough, it still opened pretty good) and I see this..
It still could've been a lot worse.. if I was driving a little faster, my airbags would've probably deployed (It came so close to hitting the sensor directly). So, I got everything reported and now I just get to wait for an estimate..
Neither of us were ticketed, neither of us were injured, he's about 60 years old (looked like he had something wrong with him upstairs..) and his SUV has nothing but scuff marks on the rear bumper, no damage anywhere.

Damn dude, that sucks. I don't trust these Tampa drivers. Too many old people down here this time of year.
As for repairing, you may want to check with
John Piparo. He works at a body shop on Hillsborough, and does top notch work.

Yea, the old people are one of the only things I hate about our area.. way too many old, bad drivers.
Right on, I knew I'd be able to hop on the Org and find some locals that do some great work (wasn't sure if John did body work or not, I've always loved his Fire). Once I get the estimate and everything figured out with my insurance company, I'll have to get ahold of him and see what we can do.

looks just like what happened to my car when i wrecked it. except the airbags deployed and the radiator got messed up.
