Another VHT Nightshade tailight mod

This is no longer anything new, but I thought I would post some before and after pics anyway. The only thing different I did pay $20.00 to have them professionally clearcoated.

Professional clear coating really does wonders for the nightshades. Lookin' good.

Thanks I like your car too.

Joe Schulte and Ozzie
How are the local ricers gonna know now it is a Z24 The stickers have actually been gone for about a year and were only on the car for like 6 months. Now the license plate and trunk lock look out of place. That tip has got to go. From the back it looks like such a pussy. You would never know it was supercharged.

Streaker
I had to do the third brake light. I know what you are saying. It just would not look right if I had not done it.

I would like to. I am not sure yet though. She is still trying to adjust to the change and see if she likes it. We do not want both cars to have identical mods. But in cases like this it might be for the better to do the same mod.

You can have the same mod and still have it look different. If she has the same tails (sorry, unfamiliar with her car), leave the reverse light untinted.

I was actually going to try that but I was not sure what the best way to mask it off was so it would have the perfect half moon shape. Here is a pic of the rear of her car now. There are a few other pics in my profile.

I know it needs aligned. I have actually tried 3 times before. My car was in a fender bender before I bought it. That may be as good as it gets. I am planning on taking another stab at it before I give up though. Hell even my wifes does not line up quite right any more. I can thank a punk ass theif who tried but did not suceed at opening the trunk with a crowbar. I had only owned the car for 12 hrs when it was broken into.

Try doing this:

That photo shows painters tape laid across one another to form a sheet that has one sticky side. The half moons are the shape traced onto the sheet. Cut those out and place over the area that you don't want sprayed.

wade i can help you mask her tails sometime as well as help you line up your trunk, i found the best way to do that is have somebody lay in the trunk and one person on the outside.

looks really good man, much better. paint your trunk lock flat black and get a tinted plate cover. it works

actually when i painted my tails for the inners, i put them in a vice with a light under the tail light, taped it up with painters tape like crazy. then used a razor blade and cut out the half circle and removed everything else around it and left it so the back up lights were the only thing still colored.
