After a one month wait. I finally got the handles painted.
Saturday, February 10, 2007 9:16 AM
In the beginning of January the Cav went to the paint shop for some minor paint fixes. At the same time I wanted to go ahead and get the side mirrors and handles painted to match. Sounds like it was simple job, right? Well, on its first visit to the shop, everything got taken care of except the painter forgot to paint the handles . Ah well, it's all taken care of now and now its time for some more upgrades. Maybe I can go ahead and get my suspension since it is income tax time. Here is some before and after pics.

Before:

After:

Also, I still am considering if I like it more with the side moldings off or on. Either way, I like the clean look approach that I am doing. For the suspension setup, I am really pushing foward the idea of going with bags. I think it will be fun, especially since almost no one I know in TN has bags.

very nice man, makes the car look way better. i personally think just the moveable part of the mirror should have been painted and not the entire thing... but hey, it what YOU like right? hahaha

i would also stick with your side moldings, they look very nice on your car, and seeing as how it doesnt have ground effects, i think it looks good with them on.
and yet, it looks good without them to.

very good work they did on ur ride. nice!

like it better without molding and i agree, i only like the mirror painted when the "moveable" part is only painted and the window panel left black.

Yeah, as for the side mirros painted fully; if I wanted to change it up and make the triangle black, at least I know the mirrors can be found really really cheap. All I would have to do is take it apart and BAM!. I like how I have it though.

i agree. thats what im doing on my white car, i think the window area should be black, after all.. everything around the windows is black and so is my 5% tint, so.. im sticking with all black.

Black was ok at first, but I feel like I needed some originality instead of looking like every other Cavalier out there IMO.

agreed, but I dont know if I can get away with sides without a front and rear. Any ideas? I remember someone before told me to look into the sunfire sides, but I cant find any good pictures of them to get a good idea.

Looks good. Go with a real suspension and not bags. It will look much better that way.
