DISCLAIMER: I know I have fitment issues, its all being addressed by the body shop when she goes in for paint.. right now I'm obsessed with finishing my all motor endeavour. the only reason the front end is on is because of the accident I had in january.
new front end, a new mod here n there
the all motor adventure is almost over...
with the new manifold, the car pulls all the way up to... (you ready?) 7800rpm. Yes kiddies, thats right damn near 8000rpm on the STOCK BOTTOM END.
the only problem is it doesn't really start to pull until 6000 lol
but all in all I think the power shift to higher rpm (even tho its more difficult to reach) has raised my peak power and just shifted the power band higher. Its still broad, just higher up now.
MSD ignition has been ordered thru hyspsy, and is going into the car.
The final all motor mods are wearing thin.. all thats left is a quaiffe LSD and removal of the balance shafts. The balance shafts are definetly coming out before long altho the LSD may not get installed while the car is still n/a.. it depends on how saucy I feel.
anyways, onto the pics...
stock ignition is going bye bye next
oh, and btw.. I'm hitting ATCO raceyway tomorrow. Lets see if I can catch up to fred.

hot!!!
cant wait for new times...
Rip it up! bring some 13's home! If it wasn't for the headlamps and mirrors, your car would be the ultimate sleeper. Then again, I've never heard your exhaust, so maybe it's not as subtle as it looks. Good luck!

Now thats bringing sexy back!

It looks like the HAHN race manifold so im assuming them or Hypsy. Looks amazing PJ. Keep us posted on your times tomorrow.
finally some looks! cant wait til u get the whole kit. props on all n/a, go all the way!...an inspiration for us all

Nice. Get some sides and rear lip
What kind of front bumper is that?
I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'
hot kit! can't wait to see some more times!

import fighter
looks good, but needs sides and rear lip of some sort... stock would probably go very well.
Check out my build thread!
the manifold is the hahn racecraft port fueler
stumbled upon it on ecotecforum a guy was going to use it, but came across a supercharger kit for a really good price and was selling it so I decided to pick it up.
the front bumper is the import fighter front.
the sides I'm going to be using are the import fighter sides.
idk if anyone notice, but I took out the front bumper crash support and chopped it in half to make way for the intercooler, but until its installed there's a nice straight shot to the radiator to keep the engine cool... no ugly visible bumper support thru the grille opening on the IF front which I freakin LOVE how it looks now
the rear.. I want to use an 00-02 rear LS sport lip on an 03-05 bumper but I may have some issues so I'm not sure just yet.
i'm glad your still doing some na mods before the big boost build. i think the exterior is going to look awesome. good luck gettin it all fitted and painted. lets see some 13s
I say just finish off the IF kit to behonest w/ you PJ. And for the Mani, are you just using the manifold w/o the tune then? well yeah im assumeing that because your not boosted yet but how do you by pass the port fueler tune and use just the manifold.

its tuned, i'm just not using any hahn stuf or the port fueler, basically the extra injector holes were welded over by the previous owner to be used with direct port nitrous...
...hmm lol
but when the motor gets built its going to be built for boost, plain and simple I am not replacing rods or pistons to stay n/a
I used HPT to retune my fuel maps for the hahn manifold and it does flow better than stock, although the short runners do hurt low and midrange power however top end is killer
lets just say, my MAP values are 102kPa which means I'm actually seeing 0.3 psi of boost, how cool is that?
i cant wait for tomorrow...
Cool. Question have you had the car on the dyno with this set-up? Just wondering how you know it has really move the powerband up and got a real tune on the car.
FU Tuning
Lookin' Good Man!!!! I need to get to Atco its only 1 1/2 hrs from the Lehigh Valley.
Are you going to stick with silver or go another color?
pj is my idol.
looking great man. cant wait to see what she's gonna do with boost

its all butt-dyno and street tuned with HPT and my LC1 but, the car doesn't let go until 7800-7900rpm there is no drop off in power at all
with the stock manifold peak torque (highest VE value) was 5200rpm and she was running out of steam by 7300rpm
to be honest I'm not really sure if the car is making more power with this manifold or not but it definetly is more top end happy than before.
before the car is boosted, it is going to see dyno time just to measure how much power I'm making all motor (granted the engine survives) and to see what the torque curve is like
