I think his sarcasm has something to do with the fact that j-body headlamp reflectors were not intended for HID use, retrofitting on the other hand would solve the whole problem of blinding people and glare. But then again retrofits can be very pricey. Nice upgrade, personally i will only do the retrofit. I've been blinded too many times especially by higher pickup trucks with HID lights

this is what i was wondering, i see that there is the cutoff plate in the bulb (judging by the night shots) but True HID Headlamps are clear-lensed, as not to illuminate the whole lens, which a Halogen bulb requires(yes/no?) So with this setup are you not Illuminating your entire lens with an HID bulb, therefore blinding everybody?

8000K, and the install wastn't really hard at all. more or less its plug and play.

Yeah I know what your talking about, this is a clear bulb. I took a drive last night for abut a half hour or so and no one flashed at me. I also lined up the grandprix and they still seem still about the same level. the only difference is they are way brighter.. and yes they are filling up the entire lens, there is no cut off plate.

Dude I get blinded by every SUV on the road, HIDs or not! It was the same way in the Civic and it still holds true in the Cavalier. It's simply the fact that SUV headlights are up there while you are down here and your eyes meet their headlights everytime!

Will the 9007-3 kit fit the 2003 Cavalier's lights?

I don't know about me blinding everyone.. its not like I drive the car that much anyway. and when I do I don't see myself blinding others granted I'm not on the other side of the fence, but my car is infact lowered so that has some consiteration in it. and your right. when ever lifted truck or SUV drives by regardless of HID or not I get blinded, even in a normal riding car.
