saw this over on css.net, too me i think id rather do this than run a 1/4 mile drag... looks like a lot of fun, too bad we dont have anything but dirt tracks around here.

its a red cobalt ss/sc vs a blue n/a 2.4 ion

That looks like fun! It kind of encompasses all motor sports. Dragging (with the launch), Autoxing with the suspension tuning and shifting. And Nascar. lol

yea i hear ya! im not really interested in autoX, very much love dragging... but this just is the best of both worlds, you would have to have a good suspension to go around the banks/curves quickly, but its not something a stock n/a car wouldnt be able to do. too me i think it would be pretty compeitve for times and such like autoX so you get that enjoyment out of it, but you get the balls to the walls fast enjoyment out of it as well. lmao, its like a giant go-kart track!!!!

idk if i would have the balls to go that fast around the curves though... lmao, at least not until i had a bunch of runs under my belt!!!!

looks like nascar to me...

the british do a version of that, but the track consists of paved and gravel sections, and sometimes has curves in it as well...kinda like a grouped rally race, now that would be fun.

they did that hear in rockford last year, its to get kids off street racing, my friends did it. It was like brackets down to the final. It was at the rockford speedway, not sure if there doing it again this year tho, but if they are Im definately doing it.

The Blue Neon's didn't work! lol.

Looks like a blast. I've been wanting to build a 2nd gen for 1/2mile concrete oval track racing... But don't have the funds for it.

the local track here does that everynow and then. they call it the spectator drags, and at some point, between the regular races they do that with about 20 cars or so. the first night i saw it a 300z hit the wall.

That does look like fun. The announcer making fun of the blue neons was hilarious though.

I was just about to recommend checking out Rockford Speedway. I dunno if they have one-on-one drags all the time or what tho. Sycamore Raceway has one-on-one drags almost every weekend, but it's a 1/2 mi dirt track... And there's a GTP there that wins everytime he shows up They do it bracket elimination style.

Hmm... a Cav with a 3800 SC could easily spank the GTP I mentioned being lighter weight + same engine...
