I finished spraying most of the car yesterday in the garage. heres some pics. the last pics show it in primer, but the quality is definitly horrible. This was the first car I've ever sprayed by myself. I think after I wetsand and buff it, it will look pretty sharp. When I put the hood and ground effects back on I'll snap a couple pics.

i didn't paint the window moulding, and ya thats what the plate means.

heres a couple more recent pics. I still have to get the mirrors and interior sprayed. The car isn't buffed yet, so it will look a little better

i did it in the garage with one door half open. That didn't do much for ventilation. It def put me in a good mood when I was done. lol. My big problem was dust. I think most of it will come out with wetsanding.

did you wet the floor down before you sprayed? this will keep a lot of the dust down.

ya i spent a day cleaning it out, put up plastic, and then wet down the floor and ceiling. i tried....lol. I think it was just the poor ventilation and that fact that the garage has been my dad's workshop for the last 11 years. oh well.

Car looks good.....reminds me of when i did mine.....except i said screw it and didn't do much cleaning....

yeah it looks good a nice wetsand and buff and it sould turn out great! I paint all my stuff in my garage. I make sure to put a fan in every window that really helps one sucking in and the other out.

not really true. in certain climates it works, but in most all it does is introduce humidity into the booth. so when you spray it is attracted to your spray pattern, causing more dirt.

thats a common misconception. i actually just learned that not too long ago

its better to hose down 2 times the day before you paint
