Well as a few of you know I wrecked my car about a week ago. I've decided that instead of selling the car, I'll restore it to its former glory, then make a decision on whether or not to keep it.
The day I wrecked it:

Then I finally had a day off to work on it (today) And here's what I did.
First layer of glass on the hood:


After the second (on bottom of hood):


Cardboard skeleton on side skirt:

How she sits now with her custom hood until the fiberglass work is done:

Going to look sweet... all CF and evil eyed up... especially with the projectors.

I've been toying around in PS trying to figure out how to paint the hood, but that's a bit down the road.

The front that's in my sig was sold, but I may be getting it back.

Today I drove to Illinois to pick up a new(old) fender for my car. Well the ad said it was in great condition, didn't list ANY damage. Well there were a few scratches and some chipping along the bottom, so it'll end up getting painted anyways. Great. I got some more done on the hood. Before anyone comments on it, I know it needs work. I'm only about 3 hours into it.

but it looks like your eyelids are really coming along nicely! keep it up because thats gonna be sick when youre done!

also, i like the two tone shop, but i think it would be easier and look better to do if the black came down right under the headlight along the hard line above the grill. that allows it to follow the stock lines of the fenders and stock bumper.

Glassing on the CF is no different than regular glassin really, you just gotta make sure it sticks to the hood by drilling holes (which you can kinda see in the pic way up there with the 1st layer on) for the resin to seep through and glass it on the bottom too.

Yeah I'm still thinking of ideas for the two-tone, Pretty much the only thing I've decided is that it'll be red and black.

Small update......
Drove down to KY today to pick up my old front bumper (thanks again rob) I need to take off the primer, but it's back nonetheless.




Fixed a crack in the rear. (still need to sand it)

glad to see you fixing it back up man. i like the photchop, only thing i'd change is make the black on the front of the hood kinda match the curve of the red on the front bottom of the bupmer. seeing it pointy and angled near the front of your hood just doesnt match the lines on the rest of your car.
