for real yo
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
That is one beautiful car.
hot damn!!
Always has been my fave 4-door since the graphics. hehe.
Looks really good man. The only small thing I can think of is how the trunk is sticking up a little bit so it's making the tails not line up(the inners are higher than the outers, pic below for reference). Other than that really small detail everything looks amazing...
Didn't get the sub box in till Friday night, it's OK though. If Kevin has the end of the year meet in K-Zoo I will be there as always.

ATK2008 - That is the old broken trunk, My new trunk is not painted as of yet. It is shaved but no paint. A little History, the trunk that is on the car is broken on the under side skeleton. It literally has 6-8 cracks in the supports of the bottomside. The Prostock is porlly the only thing that saved the trunk from completely falling apart. It all happened when I had 4 8 W7's firing in the rear of the trunk.

...why did you put a bra on there?? ..me no like
over all love it..just not that addition
james i can tell if its there but the spare tire screw down may rattle loose now and clang alot. never happened when i rear fired but as soon as i fired forward it was bad. also once you seal off from the trunk you are gonna like it even more
very nice work, and I love the way that you are going with the stereo, its looking good too! but whats with the bra why not just use that clear 3m tape if your worried about stone chips, at least that way you wont fade the paint on the hood
im so glad u kept those rims, IMO they look so much better than those 20's you had on there.
always a fan.
The bra only goes on when I make long road trips. I just did not feel like taking it off this morning. It is off now. My stock hood had HELLA stone chips because of the way our hoods curve down so much.
I was driving home and decided to stop and snap some pics because I had the camera with me.
N8Ball - I completely cut off the bracket that holds the spare tire in, the entire trunk floor has sound deadening on it. My only real rattles or noises last year were the Heat shield above the muffler. It buzzed. I actually did not notice anything rattling as of yet. Once I seal it off I do expect it to be louder, but DAMN it SLAMS as of now. I am actually IMPRESSED with how smooth the subs sound being directly behind me.
1 thing to note about the box facing foward, it SLAMS REAL HARD, but I don't get any rattles from the trunk like I use to, so it actually sounds better this way.
My 03 has the pocket in the headliner between the visors, the 1 13W6 makes that buzz and sound crappy at high volumes.
Once the System is done I can't wait to let you guys here it. Kinda tickles the inside of my throat.
Plans for the Trunk are:
Panel the back of the box off completely and put a Desired Image logo on the panel.
Make a false floor with a cutout for the tanks and compressors, just to hide the factory carpet.
Put steel braided sleeves on the air hose between the tanks.
Plans for the AMP Rack backseat are:
Mount the amps ABOVE THE BOX like the way they are now.
Make a battery rack for 2 Kinetik 2000amp Powercells where the rear seat bottom use to be, Make them tilted just like the Tanks are in the trunk.
Make a mount for my Music Keg.
Have the entire rear seat area Glassed over the box to seal off from the trunk.
Color match it to the car.
Cool part about the Sedans is that we can make the panel go directly into the door jamb areas and appear seamless.
I'll update my old 2007 Progress Thread in the next few weeks as we go with the install. I had planned to have it all done by spring, but we all know how the $$ situation goes. Can't build an install if you can't afford the supplies to build it with.

It's a LOCK. You know I love to throw a BBQ towards the end of the year!
Missed ya at the bash
Good times for sure.
my only grip with your beautiful car are the badges... i never did understand those badges that simply have your rim size. i find them corny and all out retarded. enlighten me if there is a reason to them? thanks... other than that, love every inch of it
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Just decided to spice it up a little bit, I actually like them and think they go well with my car.
Also it stops people from asking me what size my wheels are? Like the License Plate wasn't enough.
Basically I like CHROME, can ya tell? So yeah I just wanted to see how they looked and if they get boring to me I can heat them up and remove them.

still one of my favorite sedans (minus the bra, of course
)
i dont mind the bra... or the badges... what i hate is that muffler. the rest is tits.
Love you car like always. On a side note, I always wondered what a Cav looked like with DUB badges.
those 12w7's are hot... put my 12w0's to shame haha

Looks hot man. I've always been a fan of your ride. You keep it so clean...that exterior is mint!
ha, i guess u got a point. if someone asks what size ur rims are, between the badges and the plate, just start smackin em in the face
