Picked up a new car
Sunday, August 19, 2007 8:38 AM
As most of you know I just did the sunfire front end and I was about to start with the supercharger project.... after all things considered I decided to sell my car and buy something new... so I picked up a 03 Dodge Durango SLT+ fully loaded with DVD ... cames with almost every option that Dodge offered for the truck.

I have 2 pictures from when the dealer lots its been raining ill post up more tomorrow if I can take some

As long as your happy with the Derrango . Most people I know who've owned the Durango's don't own them for more than a year because they didn't like them much.

You might be totally opposite and love it for the next 10, who is to say? Looks nice and clean though, what was wrong with the J-bod?

Are you driving a base model?

If so then maybe that's the problem & why you want out of yours?

I know I couldn't do without power windows/locks & all the goodies that all 3 of mine have.

I have a Durango and its a pile. Everything is falling apart. Hate to dash your hopes but there are many websites with hundreds of post on how bad there Durangos have ended up. Most of them have the ball joints fail and the front tire falls off, mine was close, on top of a new engine, computer, rear end, ball joints, CV's, transfer case. Needless to say i ended that nickel and dime show. Thats just my 2 cents.

Never happy to hear someone get rid of their J-body, but the Durangos are nice. My wife has a 99, and she's planning on puting 20's on it, and it's time for some paint repair thanks to my kids driving their bikes into it more than once.

We're thinking of puting a Cervini hood on it and doing some ghost flames. Good luck with it. The only thing that sucks is the gas mileage. LOL. We actually try not to drive it a ton. I put $80 into it on more than one occasion this summer.

With gas at $3+ a gallon.....why?

Re: Picked up a new car
Wednesday, August 22, 2007 4:38 AM
Because I'm not is a position where I can pay for the gas.. really the gas doesnt matter much to me...

I have read on many websites about the stuff that goes wrong... so I went into this deal knowing the problems and knowing what I was getting into...

I have wanted an suv for some time now and I'm glad I have it finally...
