well, as most of you know, the turbosport hood was destroyed and my roof was dented/chipped from the pins
so until i decide on a new hood, i got the roof fixed up and painted. just needs to be buffed out. and while we were at it, i figured id build a new little engine bay piece.

stock hood i picked up to fix up, but have since decided not to finish. as you can see it doesnt quite fit how the turbosport did, and we built everything around the hood. so its alot more work than its worth.
and the new engine bay piece.....
you can see in the last pic it was a bit wavy due to how i had to tape it off. there were alot of obstacles, so i built it up, then ground it all back down so i could add to the back to flatten it out.....then i added the TV
the infamous "milkshake" filler. it started to harden as i was applying to right under the tv...as you can see.
sanded down and in primer.....
then painted............the tv isnt tucked in all the way..its sitting on the chord so its a little lop sided
so then i decided to flat black my engine bay...until we can marble it correctly this winter
the engine really took a beating this winter with all the bodywork and dust in the engine. i corroded alot, so may mean a new engine in the near future

since i missed scrape by the lake this past weekend, i wont have her back out until Importfest in November, so I think i might change a few things from now until then. add a few items

Definately think about fixing the hood! I had forgotten that it's modded for the headlight conversion, here I am thinking you could just toss another hood on.

Nice work! I like everything except the shroud looks pretty empty, maybe you could put some vinyl on it, like the name of the car, or something to fill up the emptiness.

IMO the new under the hood piece would have looked better with NO MONITOR. It is such nice work, then a UGLY monitor with shroud is in the middle. Remember, only my opinion.
