CavFire's first photoshoot (56k u'll die)
Thursday, August 23, 2007 6:55 PM
So today I decided to do some test shots & stuff with CavFire as my test subject since I didnt know of anybody else to use. So before anybody says it I'll cover the basics.

Yes I know I have dents,
yes I know i have scratches in the front (being sanded/primed soon)
yes I know i have no fender liners
so on and so forth =P

Basically I did this for just the photography aspect because if I can gather the pictures together and make a good portfolio out of them, I may offer it to local J/Tuner car peeps as things I can do with their cars for an alright price. Plus its just great practice cause I love doing photography.

Comments/Etc welcome

The Last Few Shots (The NightShots) Were done freehand no tripod. When I decide to do more I shall be using a tripod for the actually pictures with a slow shutter speed to get more/better color out of the whole picture. Thanks for lookin!

The key to making a nice picture is framing it properly and having something worth looking at. If you want to use your car then give us something to see other than a plan ol parking lot that we see daily. Give us some backdrops or something.

This was a spur of the moment beating the sunset type of shoot. I know photography considering I've been a photographer at Walt Disney World for almost 2 years now, I admit the backdrop isnt much to be desired I was mainly focusing on the setting sun if anything and seeing what I could do with my g/f's crappy camera. Once I scout some better locations (still new to FL) I will go take more photos there

As for framing, framing is near perfect I'm not taking long shots where the car is 100 yards away and a miniscule spec on the corner of the screen. Rule one of framin a good picture is to find the primary object and make it the largest thing in your picture and not have too much clash around it.

We call longshots like that guest photos in Disney... which well... suck, lol.

TY, actually they came with the kit that I got. Guess thats how NX wanted their line of solenoids to look at that given time. I think they're the lightning model? Have to look em' up... lol

I still wanna do something... and have mats to do it, but have yet to get any good amount of time to actually toss ideas around. I'm gonna keep the whole thing clean at the most maybe add an ls sport rear and sides or something to the effect. I have to get a pair of 98 SE fenders to get rid of the god aweful holes in my current ones (and now noticing my donar car apparently hopped a few curbs, the bottoms of the fenders are all tore up and bend) So once I can get those, i'm gonna pull the front, work on it, primer it and the fenders, and then go from there... LOL

believe me man as soon as I can get ahold of one of the saab 9-3 intake manifolds I'm sending it to a friend to have it ported & polished and then I'm gonna get it ported for a direct port system. Already working on that as soon as possible =D

I would have loved the shot in your mirror had it been clean, but you did say you were rushed.Other than the minor blemishes looks good, get some fog lights in the front and a drop(mine is still 4x4 as well) and focus on performance. It's fun when a 4 cyl. cav/fire with some road rash whoops a v-6 or a v-8

lol yea, I took 3 hours to detail the car inside and out... then when I got out to where I was I went to do the mirror shot and nearly cussed myself hoarse since I missed that insignificant spot... LOL...

Took the fogs out cause I dont want/need em', but will be fillin in the holes with something clean. And Drop will happen at the latest when I get my tax check next year.

Oh ya, its awesome to chase down a stang at the track and if I dont win, I sure make em' sweat near the end. Then usually when I get back to staging I have one or two peeps waitin to ask me wtf I have done, LOL...

rat nest N2O wiring FTL!!! Otherwise, looks pretty good. The SolarWing on the rear window usually looks better when there is no spoiler on the trunk...... but that could just be me.

LOL... ya I need to relocate my solenoids for one (need to make some new brackets and such to do it) And also get some wire loom covers to cover up all the other wires. Normally it looks a lot better but I've been doing a lot of changing with the added AEM intake & such... just screwed it all up. LOL

But no worries, I've been workin on my car like mad last few days. Bumper startin to look better, center grills newly painted... and more to come asap including a possible 94 Cavalier project car i may pick up for next to nothing! =D
