i finnaly got my blue suade today and put the finishing touch on my doors, the color is almost dead on with my paint, it just looks lighter in the pics. also in the pics there are still a few wrinkles... i got those out, suade isnt the most forgiving fabric to work with thats for sure! but im very pleased...and also i got some shots of my trunk setup.. not sure if iv posted it yet or not but here it is!

what do you guys think?

SOLD....

what about a silver/graphite line between the colors on your door panels like your car?

other then the subs sticking out a little to far for my tastes its very clean and nicely done. i think chris has a great idea of adding the grey line between the black and the suede tying in the interior with the exterior. will add more of a custom touch to it i think.

oh and where'd you get your suede from?

I like it. I would definately look into the silver stripe like they said, would jus tie the exteroir into the interior more. Not really into systems so I won't really comment on it.

Off topic: Eternal, wtf is that in your bottom grill?? Looks like you got some rappers teath stuck on the front of your car...

it depends on your skill level... i have about 10 hours total into my box, wasnt too hard just took a little time. and i dont even no how many hours i have into my doors, iv changed them many times.. the doors were difficult to get to look good, if you havent worked with fiberglass before i would suggest starting off with something small like a guage pod and go from there

Not sure how I feel about not having the armrest insert in there, but overall very nice job. Not overdone.

I will give a third vote for the gunmetal stripe to match the paint job.

Trevor,
Did you glass the top of your door panels before streching the suede over em, to eliminate the door pull handles? how do you close the doors? by pulling the "latch" handle?

I think Iike the door panels, I'll agree it could use some kind of trim to split the two colors. Is that real suede or microfibre? I will be doing some of my interior in suede and I suspect it will be quite a challenge! Keep up the good work!

JB- yes i actually glassed the whole pannel.. pulled it off, cut it in half, painted, wrapped, and re-attached. wored out quite well if you ask me!

framescraper- i used microfibre, i figured it would hold up a little better then the real stuff, after all..believe it or not this is my dd. and just a heads up, suade is no walk in the park...doesnt strech worth a crap, any change in shape it trys to wrinkle right up!
