The 2.2 is not a bad engine. It is just gutless and uses stone age technology.

Two very good reasons why he should have spent time to find an eco.

It's an LS, the LS Sport comes with the lip kit.

Ok sure the ohv is slow bah bah bah, But for someone just wanting a car thats cheap to run and just goes from point a to b it will do just fine. Maybe he does not need to race every school bus he lines up with.

I had mine for 4 years, I never spent a dime out side of oil, gas and mods I did to it, those motors are tough to kill and will last forever when driven by a normal person.

Nice car.

They made LS models with the lip kit too, hence the lipped front bumpers you see without fog lights, and the majority of the time they have the machined finish LS Sport 16's versus the chrome more commonly found on the LS Sports.

Anyhow nice start, you bought what you bought, ignore the "Ecotec is god" and enjoy your j-body .

I liked it better stock. I've never been a fan of chrome tails or clear corners though. And I think canister mufflers look tacky. Just my opinion, everyone has they're own taste.

Good start im just not a big fan of aftermarket tails

What coilovers are you planning on?

well my buddy has a set of brand new dropzone coilovers that he baught for his 2001 cavy and then he totalled it the day he got the coilovers at his house so has no need for them. thought about gettin those, any input on them? are they good, bad, etc.

I wouldn't touch those coilovers even if someone paid me to have them installed on my car.
The good coilovers are expensive, but for good reasons. If you're looking for a budget suspension, I would look into the pro kit with kyb agx's or sportlines with Tokico D-Specs or the D-Specs with the pro kit if you want more adjustments. I myself have bought the pro kit along with the kyb agx's and I'm saving money up to replace my front strut mounts with the 95-99 style. Your suspension is something you want to invest good money in and not to buy something cheap, it can be very dangerous and uncomfortable to do it the wrong way.
