how much work would it be to swap dashes(could you swap the front part with little work to all the crap behind and move the hvac part down(for pre-2000), maybe more work than payoff, prob easier to swap the entire dash right?

all one would need would be lower dash, metal support, and dash bezel and it would be an easy swap. it would take about 30 minutes to an hour tops for me. but ive done it before. once again. looks good man.

Remember Mr.Kleindal's black Z, we moved the HVAC to the glove box and he was able to have the bezel modified so that he had a screen there. Guess you gotta be creative to get it done in a pre 2k.

So you even need the WHOLE metal brace behind the dash for this swap?

Very nice.

For you guys more familiar with the 00+ dash, and swaping, I'm guessing that you can swap the face easily, but the HVAC and Radio are reversed, so can you just cut it out and mold in that section from behind the face?

It would seem that it's not a hard thing to do, and a hell of a lot easier than swapping the whole dash, especially since that would mean the cluster wouldn't fit the new frame. Hmmm...that just made me think: I'm wondering if that's a good way for guys that want to swap a Sunfire cluster into a Cavalier for the 95-99's. IIRC, all of the Fire clusters are the same size and shape from 95-05.

I didn't think you still had pics, see not bad at all. And what moving the HVAC took all of 20 min or so?
