Below are pics of my tranny drop.. Im dropping it to cryo-treat the gears and input and output shafts, install TEAM GREEN LSD, and install Blue plate clutch packs.Also are pics of of my neon rear disk conversion

Pulled the intake off, see the oil?

You can see the high stall converter in there
Brakes off, struts unbolted, tie rod unbolted.

how hard is the 4t40e to rip apart. Ive taken apart old chyrsler autos and put them back together. but I have a feeling this wouldnt be such an easy chore.
also. the weaksest part on the 4t40 is the diff. that lsd is only going to make it worse. you went from sending power to one wheel to sending it to both. now your puting even more stress on the diff and making it even more prone to going bang.

J-cavi, not sure man, Im having someone do my tranny build for me.. Oh well, if something goes boom with the LSD insert, then so be it.. Tear it down, build it again

Is there really a need to cryo treat anything in the auto trans? I have never heard of any of those parts breaking.

Dark, yea lol that was done 3 years ago when I had the car painted.. Needless to say, my ex painters prep work wasnt the best.. Painted the front bumper while on the car.
