So I got my hands on a front brake upgrade...they'll be going on the car some time in the spring, they won't quite fit behind 15" steel wheels haha. I figure it's about time I go with something better than fancy stock-sized rotors and special compound pads to help it stop better.
Gotta give a huge thanks to Jay for hooking me up with these. Came with everything, brackets, spindles, even Russell stainless lines!
Snapped a couple of piccies for you to enjoy. A freshly baked cookie to the first person to guess what kit this is.
I should have had a stock rotor here for size comparison purposes. They're 12 inchers, absolutely dwarfing what's on there now.
Unfortunately the bleeder screws snapped on BOTH calipers I got from Jay, which is unfortunately a bit too common with aluminum calipers and steel screws. Upon seeing what my price was for a remanufactured PBR from GM, I went that route instead of trying to extract the broken bleeders.
And I've got a rear upgrade coming real soon too, will snap some pics when the package arrives.

NWF is great from what I hear, I picked mine up from Speed Racer, absolutely a snap to install.

they look like baer calipers or atleast replica
Yeah i'm jelious Bill...!! Very nice, i'll have to get a nice look at those come spring AMC meets maybe?? haha *DRJ* member those days ?!?!?! Anywayss keep up the nice work.
Indeed, it's the RSM kit. The calipers look very much like what Baer offers, they're actually off a C4 Corvette. So yeah, I'll have 'vette brakes on my car
And Chris, you'll see the Leafs parading Lord Stanley's mug down Yonge St LONG before you catch my car and I at another ricefest, er, I mean AMC meet.

Ah I couldn't remember if they were camaros or vette brakes
And from what I remember Craig telling me they are the same as the bear only bear shaves off the fins
Hahah that was my whole joke!! It's just funny cuz i know you know what i'm talkin about.

Life is easier done than said.
They are PBR calipers, exact same ones that come in the Baer kit just without the logo.

Just got back from a little round trip near Niagara Falls NY to pick up a package...
Cuz I'd hate to see those big rotors up front contrasted against some small and ugly rear drums...
I'll clean 'em up at work, take all the paint off to better match the front calipers
