Question about Stickies
Monday, February 11, 2008 4:20 PM
After reading a complaint in the Off Topic forum, which veered off into whining about using the search function, I have a question.

Here is an example:
Lenko's Radio info sticky in A&E
This is a great example of why no one reads or researches anything, including stickies. 11 pages of "what if I crap on my headunit, will I lose my left side headlight?" -page 2.

Wouldn't it be a better idea for a moderator to delete the irrelevant posts and lock these stickies up so people can use them to research the answers they need, as they were intended? This would be quick and convenient research instead of sorting through pages of useless info. If additional info needs to be added over time than maybe the original poster can access the sticky to update. Will it cure people not searching? No, but it may make things easier on those who do search and cut back on all the repetitive questions.

yeah im sure it would be, some of the questions asked directly in the sticky are relevant and it would take a long time to filter through all of it, i would rather see the questions in the sticky than a whole thread dedicated to it

hop on in i've got a J

I thought I did post this in Genreal not Photos and Media. Not sure how that happened, I don't even remember being here. Was it moved?
