Say hello to Kirra.... ........... 2004 Pontiac Sunfire 5 speed.





To make a long story short, my mom cannot drive her manual neon anymore due to something being wrong with her left knee and Dr. told her to switch to an auto. Its been giving us a lot of problems lately being at the shop right now for a water pump and timing belt. Also clutch is on its way out, so I sparked a deal with her, i'd give her the pt cruiser ( my DD) and she chip in and buy me a new car.

I found on auto trader a 04 base cav with nothing but 5 speed with 57k miles, for $4,995. Was gone by time i got there, saw this sunfire at another dealership. Went and looked at it, couple things wrong with it. Bottom door seam is starting to corrode a little bit, and trunk lid has a surface dent. I told them to fix those issues to my satisfaction, new brakes, and i'd pay their price. Neon is being traded in on it as well as its paid off. Back to car payments again, but at $128/mon for 5 yrs. I'll have that paid off in 3.

Should have it by the end of the week hopefully.

I told myself i wouldn't build this one, but you all know where that road leads. I do have an rdfabs CAI for the ecotec still sitting under my sedan in the garage for a customer who never picked it up... hmmm. Tempting.

LoL I have 3 J's and every one has a good list of things on them. It gets worse trust me. Hell my friends get free stuff everyone I get a new one cause I take things off to put new on.

Hahahaha that is too funny because soon I'm getting rid of my white sedan for a yellow 5 speed 03 sunfire, a little ironic.

Sedan is staying for any worriers. Its just waay to cold up here in NY so far on my spring break to want to even deal with working on it. I just got a little tired of being ridiculed about driving a PT cruiser, mind you it is quite comfy on long hauls.

But still with 25mpg highway best i've ever done with a 4 cylinder 2.4L, the promising outlook of the 35 with the Sunfire wins.

I guess my heart still lies with j-bodys. I have a feeling this isn't the last one i'll own either. Lol.

Ok, here are some updates pics, just got her home. Dealership messed up pulling a dent and spider cracked the paint on the trunk, so i had at them. Have to bring it so body shop tomorrow for estimates as that was one of the perks of me buying the car, they fix the damage.











I've already decided, going to drive this from now till the end of summer and pick up myself a pile of @!#$ beater car, and start modding the fire. This one i think will go turbo while i'll have the sedan Supercharged.

Ah ha ha ha.

Just sucks, i've got car payment again tho. So the sedan build won't be happening till i make my good summer money again. I do have a job interview this friday for a good paying job for some goof off work.

We'll see what happens. I just really have BS work left with my motor swap. Biggest part i need to buy is a performance clutch. After that easy sailing.
