Truth be told after selling the Cav I needed a new daily driver too, something cheap that will last me a year until I get life and debts on track.
Well here that slut is, picked it up cheap off craigslist. 2.4l is running rough on idle, won't need much (working on it now) and it made the 80mile trip home just fine. Being it's a Sunfire, it's white, and it's an automatic I'm not going to do @!#$ but get it running right and drive it as long as possible. I needed something ASAP and it's best to buy what I know. GM STB only got tossed on as I was cleaning the engine bay and it's the only thing I had left from my Z so why the @!#$ not.
Enjoy this piece-
It's cute.
Haha, knew it wouldn't be long!
Looks clean though! And good thing I got your plate back to you when I did...haha

WooHoo..........glad your still in a J, wouldn't be the same. Nice find.
Proud member since 99
how much did you sell the cav for?
Good buy because you can't get crap for an old Sunfire. Looks sharp, way better condition than mine at least.
Now you have a jbody to come to the bash in!
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
Cav went for $3500, I wanted it gone ASAP, took a huge loss considering that was barely paint and bodywork, sold minus some mods on stock suspension and steelies.
Sunfire has some minor dings and dents, it's white though and the pics hide them well! Like I said, it needs love but shall run great once fixed. Just found a receipt for a $2,200 tranny rebuild 30,000 miles ago. Also I paid $200 less than what it books in "fair condition", I honestly consider it to be in "good condition" so I could turn around and easily sell it for a nice profit once idle is fixed. I made the 1hr+ drive ASAP as he other interest, even phone calls once I returned from test drive in which he told them it was sold. Though the CEL light isn't showing up so something is wrong there cause it's throwing codes, and TRAC OFF doesn't show up when button is pressed so I'm thinking ABS might have an issue to and that could've been covered up. Not worth suing or getting mad over though.
I will not be driving this piece to the bash. Rough trip on it, not cost effective, and not worth showing off. I'll still be riding down with someone else

gay....i was really hoping to see a Impreza........god damn it Joe what did we talk about!
Looks exactly like my car did when I first got it. Nice pickup
Car is for Sale!Supercharger kit is for sale!
from one j to another.. why didn't you just keep the other one?
looks nice i guess.. just don't see the point.
ive found myself staying with Js for DDs too just because, as you put it, "its best to buy what i know"
good luck getting it in running order and keeping it as a DD

Show quality paint, shaved doors, shaved gas door, etc.............not something I'd exactly want to daily drive, especially in the winter. No sense in ruining a beautiful car.
Besides, I still sold the Cav for way more than I paid for this. How can you not see the point?
I'd rather pay off my debts while driving this than continue to drain myself modding the Cav and having a junk daily driver.

Exactly.
Not only that, you can't be a J for cheap reliability unless you go Honda really, and that wasn't an option as pricing has sky-rocketed on anything blessed with an "H" thanks to gas prices.
Congrats Joe
I picked up a 98Z ..18 mths ago for 650 and use it as my daily driver. Already had new waterpump done also
Might have put 350 into it since ive had it

Lol I was just going to ask if he wanted the wheels anymore.
If you decide you don't, Joe, I'd consider them because I know someone who really wants them

Say what you say, I've realized the poor investments and debts I've caused myself and building that last Cav was the poorest choice I could've made considering.
Yes I'm in Michigan. Unfortunately. Lots of awesome J's with awesome owners, not so awesome economy and weather.
As for wheels, I have no clue as to which wheels are being referred to but the stock GT rims stay on the GT, and if referring to the rims shown on the '97 Z24, well the car and everything related has been sold since last month, and the 18's themselves were sold back in September.
Enjoy a simple, plain car Joe...nothign wrong with that!
You get to drive the BlueDeuce at the Bash anyway...so your modding for the time can live through me!!
LOL!!
Looks good and like you said....you know the platform so any problems you can save the money and just fix it yourself!
You'll be back...can't wait to see what you throw at us in due time!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
Lol, nice pickup.... Interior seems to be clean
