Welp, about this time last year, my timing jumped on the car smashing 11 valves..
Today, headgasket blew... Whitesmoke, no coolant left in the radiator overflow= IM DONE........................................................
Being dropped off at home.........

I say just fix it and chalk it up to bad luck. Too nice of a car to get too frustrated about it.

I agree.....Fix that Bad Boy !! Just make sure your head is not warped.
Any idea on what caused the car to over heat and pop that head gasket ?

Im soo on the fence about fixing this car.. One problem is that I have no clue where to get another headgasket.. I go tthis MLS Cometic from J tuners back in the day..
Also, I have noo clue why the car over heated, Ive been having problems with that for a while now.. My guess is that it has to do with the open loop/closed loop crap that I got goin on with the car now.. But then again, that probably has nothing to do with it.. My water temp gauge was at 180 when it popped.. I had no idea it was overheating..
I havent been able to enjoy this car ever since the turbo was put on last January.. Im soo pissed right now, I dont even know what to do, I dont have the time nor the money anymore to worry about this...... I think I just need to step back, take a break for a couple weeks and re-think what I want to do with it.

I would honestly just put in a good stock headgasket. And you know I will gladly help you out. You have come to far to give up now...I know it is frustrating, but if you keep fixing the weak parts, eventually it will be perfect. let me know.

I was in the same boat last year bent 12 valves....I fixed it up though and glad I did.....
Swap in an ecotec and part out your turbo set-up!
I also feel for ya having to gett a flatbed...Those rates suck....My car scrapes getting onto the bed even....
dude dont get rid of it.. i all wayzed loved your car. my 97 z has been sitting for 2 years know, and i just know have time and mulla to fix it. and ya its to nice of a car to so call scrap it just for a gasket...

bummer dude. $hit happens tho, you just gotta roll with the punches. ive heard bad things about the cometic gasket, never herd of anything being bad about the acdelco gasket. idk for sure tho, good luck man

your engine bay is my motivation. By far and i mean far, the best j engine bay ive seen in person so far. one of the cleanest on the org for sure. everything clashes under the hood. its perfect. cant let a measely head stud slow you down. we all know boost is rough. i have not even started my car but am already planning for down time sooner or later. its bound to happen. good luck.
yeah man, stop crying and fix it. A blown HG is no worries, easy fix.
