it doesnt look bad, but i think a cav trunk swap would have looked much better.

and i got sick of the contrast.. and i just lost my job, so i cant afford to have it painted professionally.. so i did this "do it yourselfer" this morning.. still turned out good
ehh, it looks ok. i would keep it like that until you can afford to get the cav lid painted and then put that back on...
I can understand about lossing your job and all, but last time I checked I didn't work on my car instead of finding a job. I know right now is very hard to find a job, but I wouldn't waste a min not looking. I thought I could get a job without a problem about 3-4 years ago and went 4-5months with nothing. It really sucked and I wish someone would of pushed me harder. As for the car I would get that Cavy truck painted when you can and swap out to full Cavalier tails to get those Sunfire tails out for good. Since you are going to have to get it painted db on how much it would be to get the keyhole shaved.
I don't see why everyone hates the Sunfire sedan tails so much. I'd take the current look over the Cavalier tails any day.
i dont know if i would call that any smoother.... the bezel just stick out (literally) but also because it doesnt look like the colors match... i'd wouldve just painted the original trunk you had on there... but hey, if you're happy... im happy for ya!

They are big and huge! They stick out way to much and have the black trim ring around that that make them look like poop.

id have to agree.. i changed from sunfire to cavalier today.. then put in my clears when i got my led bulbs... i love the clear look, matches my reverse lights
I'm not liking it at all
. I would much rather see a color matched Cavalier trunk lid with factory '00-'02 Cavalier taillights. That and color matched door handles and I would leave the exterior alone.
The clear tails just look too "ricey" for my liking and I have never been a fan of shaved inner taillights, it just doesn't look right.
Overall, I really like your Sunfire and ultimately it's yours and that's all that matters, I'm just throwing my .02 out there

I don't really care for it al all myself. Clear tailights just don't look right to me. But its your car so if you like it then good.
