Bringing Canadian Wolf back to life.

At the end of last summer, my buddy Matt blew his motor. Wel lyesterday, we got around to replacing it.
Got the car looking like this...

Yuk! Old yukky blown motor.

Lets get this POS outta there.

When you have a car with air ride that doesnt go up because of a dead battery, you think of creative ways to lift it...

Almost...

And she's out...

Old motor, new motor...

All parts transfered and new motor installed.

Just about done...

Old POS motor looking awfully sad and lonely.

How she sits right now...

And yes, she is alive! It runs, but it is awfully loud since there is an open downpipe. All will be finished up tomorrow.
Here is a quick video clip...

As you can tell by the pics, the AC is gone. It didnt work anyways! lol

nice work, good to see things like that still have a purpose rather than scraping the whole car...

i think this car was ment to look good, not go fast. not that you cant do both, but why bother with it all when its not needed.

Nice work. I probably would've done the same thing though. As much as I love the 2.4 and the Eco....I wouldn't have the time or space to attempt any of it anyway. Here's hoping my eco holds together for a long long time and that goes for Canadian Wolf's 2200 too! Nice work on the replacement, are you planning to do any mods since you need a down pipe anyway? Header?

Well I hurt my back earlier this week, so working on the car wasnt really in the picture, so for once, I got to be foreman.
I put Matt to work and told him what he needed to do. I filled the coolant, and that was pretty much it
Here are the pics...

Completed engine bay.

Waiting for the towtruck.

And up she goes.

Matt said he should be driving the car in a couple weeks, it needs to get new plate stickers and insurance.

wow just saw this thread now lol
thanks a ton darren
for those wondering why not go bigger? well i actually had thought about it awhile back when it blew. but after looking at the car and how much work it needs i decided this was my best route. this will be her last summer and i just wanna drive it and enjoy it. yes it does need paint but i won't be painting it as the car just isn't worth it anymore.
and yes the solenoids are for the air ride
darren forgot to tell ya, apparently the tow truck driver has towed phews car before as he thought mine was his lol he was talking to me about it when he dropped it off at my place lol
