How old is the old gas? I thought your car has only been down like 5-6 months?? If so I would not worry about it. I have used gas that is voer a year old with no issues. If you have to break in the motor you will not be doing WOT pulls so should not be a problem. Engine looks nice. Where did you get that oil cap? Does it fit well?

lookn amazing man! bolt covers and oil cap really look good.

i suggest taking some carb spray and wiping that top throttle cable (for the cruize control?) or whatever is it thats silver and turn it back to black.

im also assuming you'll be cleaning some more, but DAYYYM the coolant res. needs some help!

yeah guys i know i got more cleaning to do I guess I should have mentioned that. I plan to get the carbon fiber coolent resvoir cover thingy so that takes care of that. As for the cables yeah i'll spray them. ...and as for the manifold well I got lazy and it shows.....sorry. But yeah the oil cap fits perfect.

now for the gas Im not sure how long but im guessing about almost a year. But everyone is telling me to remove the gas tank and clean it.

Thats because it is an 100% copy of it....out of a softer aluminum.
Watch for where here...as pictured.

Well I hard coated all my pulleys to help prevent the phenomenon.

Brad you might need to replace your front seal in the timing cover where the pulley slides through. It seems to be only a concern with older cars with old dry seals. Everyone that has replaced the seal has had little wear, and if it was leaking....has stopped the leak. Eric "97cavie24ls(™)" brought this up a LONG time ago on an APEX pulley when Kevin Hopp "wildweasel" and I started designing the LD9 cranks back in.....05'.

The entire reason my pulleys are hard coated it to help prevent the wear from happening. The added chemical resistance and good looks is just a bonus.

color me lost but wouldnt having something HARD in there make the seal weaker? maybe its been to long since ive seen this particular seal. the stock pulley doesnt become grooved because its steel and hard, but then you put the aluminum pulley on there and it gets the groove in it. so... by actually having the groove in the pulley it in turn causes the leak? or should the reason the pulley getting grooved be causing the leak ie hard seal?

i have had a mysterious oil leak ever since i installed the first pulley though... its not really wet on that side of the engine though, more so near the driver side as if the drain plug was leaking, but its not.

No, having it hard is fine. The Cast OEM pulley is very hard. The aluminum grooves since it is a hell of a lot softer material. The groove can cause leaks, and the hard older seal can also cause leaks.
No idea on your leak.

DOHC I still love the blue!

WTF is up with your metal coolant line in the back. I can't think of any good reason it should look like that.
