Also did u pan to get the shots or just use the selective points ? (choose what u want in focus, and out of focus)

ISO was at 100, F Stop was 7.1 for most and the shutter speed was set at 1/125

Yes it was a new Turbo Cobalt...not sure what it ran though.
Terri, I was just panning with the cars as the moved. Since this was the first attempt at action shots, thought I would just experiment and see what happens. Might try to make it out to Mosport or Shanonville for some road racing pictures and see if the same technique works.
Thanks all for the comments.
that silver cavy in the last pic of the first set of pics with the ss hood is sexy as hell

they took it easy with the ss/tc i think it was a 14.7 or around there and the HHR SS was like 15.0 but as I said they took at really easy on them

Nice work on the action shots. This is the first year in a long time I didn't get to make it out.
When I bought my camera, I went out to Mosport on a Porsche track day. It's free to go in and watch. So I just spent the day practicing my action shots. I still need lots of practice and would like to get out again. If you ever decide to go, let me know since I only live 20 mins away from Mosport..
Some of my Mosport photos can be seen here,
