I don't tend to make a lot of threads in the showroom because my car isn't much in the overall scheme of this site. It's just my DD that I've had for 4 years as of later this month. Anyways my whole thing with it has kind of been to be cheapish on mods, yet do it right with quality parts and keep it pretty stock and comparable to stock reliability wise. If you care to see the full mod list I keep my registry updated religiously...

So just lately I met up with GmanZ24 to trade some parts, and out of the deal I got some parts to do the 2.2 coil swap and some cash. So my project this week has been getting the coil swap done. Overall I don't know how much I gained from doing it, but I like the fact that I have it done and running, eventually I'll upgrade to some better wires and perhaps the msd goodies. I don't know if I had misread or just got confused but I learned a few things for myself about this swap that I didn't comprehend from reading on here. You have to use an ICM from a 98+ 2.2 if you intend to just cut the plug off you stock 2.4 harness and wire it up color for color. I got an older style one in the swap so that was a set back. Now I'll shut up and post pics.

I had to get a 6 wire plug from the JY since the one I got in the trade had a 2 wire plug on both sides. When I got one from the JY it was right after a flood so I couldn't go cut one for myself and I happened to get lucky and they had one with about 2" of wire still on an icm/coil set for a 98+ 2.2 on the shelf. I scored that for $1. Because I got it so short I had to make my own extension harness to reach to splice in. I made mine about 2' long in total and it worked perfect for the stock looking routing I was going for right now.
I'm starting to slow down with engine mods as a whole since this is my dedicated DD and I've beaten all of the bolt on mods into a hole in the ground. I have a 1.5" Aeromotive Fuel Pressure gauge to drill/tap into my fuel rail so I can finally know what pressure my adjustable fpr is set at (no schrader valve)... Between that and the new aem cone filter I got off of ebay for like $27 shipped not much has changed. The last couple performance things I have in mind are an OBX crank pulley maybe to replace the HO/W41 pulley, and a new 2.5" muffler.

I also recently got a rear strut tower brace from Cavalier2000 on here, good seller and he packaged well and shipped promptly. Just a quicky photo of it and a sneak attack photo on my unsuspecting spare tire. I @!#$ despise donuts after having my donut go flat after getting a flat one cold ass night in January.

, I'm looking to get some dyno runs in during Friday morning of the V6Z24/JBody of Iowa Bash on July 18th. I'm hoping to have the rail gauge on by then and maybe play with the afpr a bit since I'm sure it's messed up after discovering how crappy other mods the previous owner did were.

Yep, Brad called it. The flatish ones like that are from the oldest of the Berettas, 87 and 88 only if my findings are correct. 89s and maybe 90s also got some, but they are a lot more domed and at least an inch taller overall. I'll look around a bit I may be able to come up with a set for you Mike, I stress may since I have to keep 1 spare since they like to fall off of the Beretta sometimes. Never had that happen on the Cavy though.

i used to have a set of those caps on my 97 z24 a LONG ass time ago, they came off an 89 base beretta IIRC...
IIRC they used to fall off easily and hit the hood too.
