you know, i never even thought of that... ur right it does look a little bit taller than last year. i did go up from 215/45's to 225/45's from last year. i wanted to get 225/40's but was talked out of it. now im kind of regretting it.
i do think a lot of it is the pics though because in person it looks quite a bit different.

the width of the tire wouldn't of made a difference!
u would of hated the 40's! i hate skinny side walls.
with it sittin lower or higher! its just the pics! look at the fender gap!

its lowered on sportlines... the wheel gap is fine.
not to mention the fact that its been sitting on jack stands for the past 6 months. everything needs to settle back down as well.

Not so fast pardner. To find your sidewall height take the tread width and multiply it by this percentage and you get your sidewall height in mm. Percentages, metric and standard units of measurement, oh so much fun.
Wheels look good Brad, though I don't know why you need such a light wheel when the craziest thing you'll do in that car is run through some wacked out construction and bounce it off the curb!
Haha, I kid, I kid, but you need put these bomb parts to proper use though!
Run some autocross, or take it down the strip one day when its fast.
I love it, everything flows good. Makes me want to do sum to my 96 cavalier.

Bingo!
Damn those are nice!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
Good deal.
Wish I could run rims that light.

Now you need to recover from the purchase.
I'll happily take that red round thing off your hands.

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
looks good but I would prefer a chrome lip...but still good idea with the powdercoating
GMR has got nothing on this
looks good, i think a black roof would look good....
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
I've always liked those wheels, i'm glad you went with all black rather than leaving the polished lip. The car looks great!

I've been looking at those in 18s. I was thinking of going all matte black, but with a little twist to go with it. Rims look good. Now they look just like Qwik's Traklites lol.
thanks for all the replies guys... your opinions mean a lot to me.

unfortunately velox has dis-continued the PG5S completely, and even more so the 18 inc model was done first so they have absolutely none in stock. believe me, i tried and tried and tried, i really wanted the 18's. but... i had to settle for the 17's. not a bad thing, just not exactly 100% what i wanted.
lol and its funny you should say they look like jay's rims because if you put mine right up next to a traklite you would think one or the other company copied the other's rim EXACTLY because they are like perfect twins. only thing the traklites really have different is the fact that they are 8" wide and the PG5S's are 7".
i originally wanted the traklites and do the same thing i did, but i didnt want to copy anybody. unfortunately i didnt realize the rim was exactly the same lol so i guess i did, sorry jay.
Riddle me this... riddle me that...
It doesn't matter anymore about copying anyone else. It seems like every wheel I decide on when trying to pick something nobody else here has, as soon as I find something I like someone else beats me to it. lol
As for you copying Jay.. I'd hardly see it that way since both him and Darkstars had black Traklites with Wilwood brakes and Toyo fenders lol.
I had heard that Velox had dis-continued the wheels which is one reason I was trying to find some used lol. I'm still on a quest for some light forged rims that nobody here has lol. I wanted Centerline Storms but then I would have the same wheels/brakes as Phewes.
lol i have a set of storms as well... for my black 97 z.
