New parts + fixed damage
Thursday, July 10, 2008 7:24 PM
Got my car back today from the body shop. Cost me $1000 but $575 of that will be coming back to me because my friend owned up to backing into the front passenger side of the car and is paying for the damage he caused. The other was a hit and run type deal, I was inside a store and came out to the driver side of the bumper/fender smashed up. While busted up, I met up with S1lver and got some other work done on the car. Need to get a few more things installed correctly and order a couple more things before the summer is over already. Haven't posted pics in a year or so on here so I have a couple new parts...

New:
Fixed + painted driver side fender/bumper
Fixed + painted passenger side bumper
Front GM Strut Bar
Relocated ECU to under dash
Addco Polished Rear Sway Bar (need another bracket, only using one right now in the middle)
12" Alpine Type-R Sub
Ported Box
Alpine MRP M-500 Amp (500w)
8" Black Corvette Antenna
Sunfire Gauges
Toyo Trunk Carpet
IU License Plate

Need To Do:
Use up the rest of my SecondSkin sound deadener on the trunk
Do somethin about my broken intake
Get a new battery (with top terminals for audio stuff)
Clean inside + wax outside of car once the new paint settles
Get my other bracket for my rear sway
Clean up trunk wiring
Get a better, custom built sub box
Red LED HVAC Bulbs
Clean up engine bay (don't really care that much anymore)

Couple pics to show off the new stuff

Looking great man. i'll trade ya suspenion setups, my d-specs and sprints for your d-specs and road magnets haha. Good too see a new post, haven't seen anything from you in a long time. I think the last post was when you put the road magnets on the car.

Nice start. How long did it take you to move the ecu to under the dash?

worst part was stuffing the cord through the grommet in the firewall. altogether maybe 10 minutes tops.

trunk wasn't even worthy of pictures. everything else is so clean and nice. Hurry up and finish the install so it doesn't look like you tossed everything in the trunk at the last minute lol.

Threw one layer of sound deadener on the trunk and got my toyo liner back on. Got rid of everything else in the trunk that doesn't belong (screwdriver, the black drawer liner roll, misc install parts). Tomorrow I am gonna work on the wiring a little bit.

Haha, the only trade I would consider is for Tein SS's, those are the next big purchase for the car. And these pics were shot with a Sony Cybershot DSC-T200, which I love.
