Well I customized my door panels and put 2 sets of component speakers per door.

the part where the cross overs are is going to have tinted plexi glass put in as soon as I order some

JBL and JL are nice, but Pyle is a pile of $#!T...

The suede wrapping looks like Pyle's quality tho....

Nice that you tried, but it needs more cowbell...

yea I have trouble with the wrapping. I have been trying different approaches to it and practicing so hopefully it should start looking better over time.

The reason I used pyle is because I got them for free from my work and I am just using them until I get some nicer component sets.

even for free i wouldnt have installed them .. mite have used them for test fitting but thats it.
the material used to make pyle is almost on par with stock speakers .. but not tryna bash or nothing, at least you had guts to take the project on yourself.

you only need one set of tweeters your losing alot of quality rite there. canceling out alot of sound there.

Um, no... lol JBL, Crown and Infinity are all under Harman International, and all make good products. JL makes nice stuff, but I'm not a JL nutswinger, I do think they have done amazing things, but for the price of comparable car audio, I can get a quantity of 5 in other respected brands. Does help that I can get factory cost on a few brands, not Harman stuff tho

Yea I know that pyle isn't great or even good for that matter but I wanted to do something with it because my other speakers were by far worse. It does sound a LOT better then it did so I am happy with that until I can get some better sets.

So how would it cancel out sound with 2 ses of tweeters if they are both using a different cross over and a different sound stage? I haven't heard of tweeters canceling out with 2 sets before so if you wouldn't mind please explain.

What I meant by sound stage is that instead of using the rear fill speakers as well I just rewired it to the front and just have both the front and rear in the front of the car.

Just wondering why the DS and PS speaker pods are different angles. Good job though......

I think he's saying that the two tweeters are probably going to be way over baring to the mids. There wont be a good mix of sound that come from your mids. I guess if all you listen to is Rap, then it wont be a problem. But like myself, when I listen to for example: Unearth, I want to hear the double bass, the guitar leads, the rhythm guitar and the faint sound of the cymbals from my tweets. i think that in your car, you would most likely only hear those cymbals.

I also just noticed where you put your window switches. I think I like that. I just fiberglassed over the little coind holder between the shifter and the armrest.

When I was mounting the wood to create the structure I was doing it at a different angle and was basically eye balling it in the dark. (worked on it over night) And I didn't realize the angle difference until the morning when I started sanding everything.

Yea I only listen to rap and from what I have heard in my car I haven't heard much difference with the 2 tweeters being on. Only difference I can tell is it is louder and the words are more clear.

I was going to put the switches in the coin holder spot but I use that to hold my phone and ipod while I am driving so I just cut out a spot there. Its an easy reach so I don't mind.
