As some may know, I took an import fighter front, some pieces from an 00-02 bumper, and some fusor and made an 00-02 import fighter front bumper. I posted a few progress pics, but I ended up hitting a snag at the end of the project. My lazy ass didn’t test fit the bumper before I painted it, and what do you know, the hood wouldn’t close because I had the inside section of the headlight buckets up too high. Basically it had to come back off the car and I had to do some cutting and then redo everything. Not a big deal, since I really enjoy doing paint and body work, even though I’m not the best painter.

Notice that the hood is already sitting on the areas inside the headlights and it’s not closed.
After a few changes, she’s good to go. I just need to deal with the sag under the passenger side headlight which will be resolved tomorrow on my day off.
Here are some shots from this morning. I’m just glad to finally have the bumper back on the car. I didn’t bother to clean the car, I was just too excited about finally having my IF front back on the car. So basically the car is dirty, there’s the whole lack of tire shine, and the noticeable flaws in my paint on the front bumper. Enjoy
