interior pic/exterior pics and a question!
Saturday, July 12, 2008 10:34 PM
Alrighty I posted these in my last thread but I guess its dead! Well I figured since I have never posted a pic of my interior I might as well do it. I got a few parts back from the body shop and installed them a few days ago. I think it turned out pretty good, the only thing is I can't remember how to get the ebrake boot to fit correctly! So the second pic is obviously the side skirt. There are a few clips broken on both left and right skirts, so I am pondering replacing them. I have been interested in the z24 skirts for quite a while now, but there is more than one skirt option that looks appealing! So my question is what are your opinions? z24 skirts, fix and keep my current ones, or pick something else? The things I am set on are, the skirts have to be factory gm, and they have to maintain the smooth simple and clean look of the car. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Oh and the last pic is just random from the other day, sitting in my shop collecting dust til the next car show.

i would stick with those skirts and fix them.

there are so many z24's out there. yours to but you dont see them often, at least i dont anyway.

interior looks good, nice n clean. IMO those seats are look bad though, definitely something different needed there, even if they are stock. there are other options from stock that look a lot better.

agreed... only if you are progressing to change up your seats.... if not then... don't change a thing... you're keeping a very nice clean look.

to solve you e brake boot problem just keep yanking it up till it slips into the notch on the brake handle. I can see the notch where the lip of the boot is suppose to sit in your picture. just keep playing with it till it falls into place. It really dose not take that much effort IMO. mine slips on and off really easily. but anyway on the interior veryy nicee! looks great. not over done with the dash painting like alot of people do and it looks really clean. who ever painted it did a very nice job. The outside looks very nice too, i like those rims on your car. IMO the side skirts between the ones you have now and the z24 really wont look that much different from each other but if you want to do it because your missing the clips then go for it. Overall you have a very nice car.

@ Chris B.: If you get Z24 side skirts they will sit lower than your front bumper which will look kind of goofy in my opinion. I say keep the current side skirts unless you plan on switching front bumpers too. I definitely think a '00-'02 Sunfire GT front bumper and Z24 side skirts would look really good on there .

The interior looks good. As someone already said you have just enough pieces painted to not look tacky. Overall you have a very clean Sunfire! I love it!

Funny you should mention this because I saw a Cavalier covertible at the junkyard yesterday that had the white vinyl interior and I was thinking the white seats would look killer in an all graphite interior in a white car .

the new lexus IS-F has a black/grey interior with white seats, looks good in that, why not a Cav/Fire?

wow thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions, helps me out a lot! I agree totally about the seats, they are next on my interior mod list. A year ago I had this huge plan to totally rip the car apart, and do all this crazy stuff to it. However the more I work on doing the minor mods, the more I like the idea of keeping it mildly modified. My goal is to do subtle changes but keep it looking like it could have possibly come that way from the factory! I think your opinions have really helped me to decide to stick with the current side skirts, so thanks!!

You're welcome!

My goal with my car is to do a lot of minor modifications that only a true J-Body enthusiast is going to notice. In my opinion you can never go wrong with a clean, subtle car and you, my friend, are well on your way to achieving just that.
