Here’s the setup in my ’02 Sunfire Sedan:

My shifter is shortened is 2” and I have the upper part of the console and the shift boot from a ’00-’05 Sunfire with manual transmission.

I kind of miss the point of trying to fake people out into thinking your car is a stick...
I mean, it clearly isn't. Specfically how Joey went through the trouble of even putting
a manual looking knob on, AND putting his e-brake up to take pics... I don't understand.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

You're welcome. Thanks for the kind words . I couldn't be happier with my shifter and the best part is, it's so easy to do! If you have any more questions or anything, let me know.

Here's how. It's super easy!

I'm not trying to make anyone think I have a manual, I just hate the big dildo shifter that comes stock in an auto. I think the shifter looks way better shortened and with a boot.

As far as Joey is concerned, it looks to me like he put his e-brake up simply to get a better shot of the shifter. Just my .02 though.

all someone has to do is look and see 2 pedals instead of 3.

I put the knob and boot on there because I just like the actual looks of it more than the automatic. If I found an auto knob that I liked then I wouldn't be against using that but I just haven't found one yet. Oh, and I always use my ebrake when I'm at home because my driveway is one big steep hill. That was not just to look like a 5 speed, I don't like my car rocking foward on that hill when I put it in park.
