Well, the Cav is finally back on the road again temporarily. I went for a photo shoot with a few friends of mine last night. Excuse the mud on the side...dumbass me wasn't watching where I was driving on the way to the shoot. Oh well. I included some pics of my buddies cars as well. Your cav looks alittle out of place, but i cant figure out why.....

LOL, yeah a tad bit. My roommate has a SRT-4 which would have helped out the shoot, but he wasn't around. Oh well

what are you running for a motor right now? Your built motor You said temporarily.

Yeah, the built motor is in there. However I'm having issues with a lifter that for some reason won't pump up. Ever since I swapped the HO cams and towers, I've had this lifter problem. I swapped it out three times and not sure what is up. Have to stop at the machine shop and see if he has an idea. Looks like the engine will have to come apart again.

I had the same problem your talking about but i didn't get it at first drove the car for about a day and started getting it.

When it got loud i dropped the oil and put some 5w30 to try and get the lifter to pump up with a thinner oil.
Did that drove the car for about two weeks the sound got was still there but it was quieter switched back to 10w30 no problems sense.

I've been running 5w-30 for a couple hundred miles now and it isn't improving at all :-(

Thanks! I was sooo tempted to buy rims for it, but the more I keep the stock rims, the more they seem to grow on me.

I've been thinking about getting a set of those same wheels. But I'd like to either paint them black or a gunmetal color and polish the lip.

Cav looks great! Ever get your engine trouble sorted out?

I've got two sets of the Z24 rims, and I've contemplated powdercoatig them black or gunmetal as well. Haven't goten around to it yet. Maybe next year. The engine still has a ticking sound which won't go away. I'm driving it to the engine builder to see if he has an idea of what is wrong.

I'm just about done washing, clay barring, and waxing the Cav. New pics to come soon :-)
