Well I was debating if I should sell my car or not...I was strongly thinking about it, but to be honest...My only reason for selling it was b/c it was just starting to take up space in my garage. But really, who cares. I love working on it and going to shows and such and to be honest, I couldn't sell the car as is to begin with. I had some issues with it I wanted to fix up first (front speakers stopped working, temperatue cable broke for my HVAC, no defroster vents, subs didn't pound enough).
I learnt a lot more about fiberglassing since my project last year and I know I could turn out an even nicer interior than the one I currently have. I want to do something cleaner looking that doesn't fell cluttered.
So without further ado...my interior build thread is now here.
There isn't much as of yet, but trust me, the pictures will soon follow.
I speant hours upon hours cleaning up all the wiring behind the dash re-routing everything to their new locations.
As you can see, the dash and under dash assembly have been removed and the progress for the new interior will now begin.
Why do a different interior? Well for one, I know I could do something cleaner looking and a better quality, and another being that I just want a new look for the start of 2009.
vice how u get the air bag harness hooked up dose your air bag light still come on???
well vince i know it will come out amazing just like before , what are ya plans for the interior still going the carbon fiber route ?
This is one thing I would love to do to my car this year. Just dont have a clue where to start or how to. Good luck I'm sure the interior will be SICK
Keep us posted Vince, this should be amazing.
yer crazy bud, cant wait to see it!

Lanman31337 -F = fatties = do not want. A little chunk in the junk is ok though.
First off:
Matt...I spent today trying to send you the pics from the show last weekend, however they are too damn big to send over...so I started to re-size them, but then photoshop crashed on me and I didn't have the patience to sit on the computer for an hour re-sizing the pics. I'll re-size the pics while at work tomorrow and email them to you either after work Sunday or Monday afternoon....sorry bud.
Well I worked yesterday and didn't get a chance to work on the car until today. I spent nearly 4 hours today disconnecting my audio setup in my rear seat area.
I had all the wires running through the pipes where I had the amps mounted on...what a PITA that was bringing all the wiring back through and out of the pipes.
I ended up removing my rear seat audio setup and this is what I am now left with:
I call this one...Wires, wires and more wires.
After building the car for nearly 5 years now, I've brought wires back and forth from the front of the car to the back of the trunk enough times and I never really had them routed cleanly. Now with the fact I am going to re-do the interior, I have a great opportunity to re-wire and re-route all my wiring for neons and audio properly and cleanly.
Sunday afternoon before work I'll spend my time cleaning up the wires back there and getting things ready before I tear apart my trunk setup. (which you can see the backside of in this picture above)
My new rear seat audio setup will flow into the trunk as well so you can see through the cabin. (at least that's what I'm thinking about doing).
I have a long way to go still, but once I get evverything out of the way and cleaned up properly, I'll be able to start my build.
can't wait to see how it turns out
Actually. Whatcha doin with the old stuff ??
Are you serious? That's awesome! Good @!#$ vince!
I'm sure it will be sweet.

Well actually I don't have my stock cluster anymore so I don't have an airbag light
....BUT...when I used the cluster before YES, the airbag light remained on. What I ended up doing was just painting the bulb black itself. I know some people put electrical tape over it, but I just painted it instead. Try that route if the air bag light bugs you.
Thanks guys. I can't wait to get started on building it now. My goal is to get everything inside cleaned up and ready for fiberglassing by next weekend...however in one week I'm going to take a nice much desereved vacation in Cuba
, so I guess the glass work will have to wait for two weeks upon my return.
I'll get new pics up tomorrow.
Well I don't have any pics, but I did get a lot done today.
I've taken out my trunk setup now, and the audio in the trunk has been disconnected too. I need to buy some zip ties and electrical tape before I can finish cleaning up the wiring. I've got the wires re-routed nicely now, but they are all loose, so once I get some zip ties I can clean everything up and then remove my carpeting
.
I got furhter along than I had expected...so I might just be able to get some glassing done before I go away next week.

Well the dash is going to my buddy Andy, he's been waiting for this day to come since the start of the year. The trunk setup is pretty much useless to someone else, and the rear seat setup will be a pita for someone else to use since there was wooden boxes behind the fiberglass shell.
Well I've got even more done now. The only thing left to come out for the interior is the door panels pretty much.
I've re-routed all my wiring for the air ride, door poppers, and audio cleanly now. No tangled wires and everything is zip tied together.
I need to go on a hunt for some sound deadening for the interior. I want to dynamate the whole trunk and interior to reduce the outside noise. I need to try to find a lot but at a good price...ideas?...
Looks like I might be able to start doing some mock up work for the new interior a bit sooner than I had expected. Overall, I am happy that I've cleaned up the inside and I'm anxious to start the new build.
I'll keep those pics coming along.
www.B-quiet.com for sound detening material. looks good vince keep it up.
all show, stock go
in the making
well give me a call if you want some help......
what are you doing with that blue carpet?
