well i finally got a 4 door like ive been wanting since i had my first kid. but with the deal i got on my coupe i went that route for the time being. well i just finally came across a good deal on one. if does look bad but there no major damage just a bent lower control arm, messed up fender, deployed bags, cracked dash, and pulled out inner fender. but for $400 i think it was a good deal and starter project.

plans... start with fixing the broken stuff. lower control arms(will be swaping in the 99 grand am aluminum control arms) new windshield, air bags, dash, and fender.

then start swapping over everything off the coupe, suspension, wheels, motor, 5 speed conversion. neon rear brake swap. toyo mirrors, and other stuff i can't think of right now.

Too bad it's going to take so much work to get it where you want it though...

well got the new control arms in and found a broken inner tierod. also got that fixed. so after doing all that i checked and it seemed off a little bit. i pulled one measurement and it was. so now the next project is to see if it was my drilling off my holes for the ball joints in the control arms or if something else is bent. at least i can drive it to work and put it on the alignment rack to see what it says for caster also. that should help me with deciding what is wrong. but here is some of the pictures of the work and my z rims i'll be running for winter use. c&c welcome.

As long as you have it apart, why not replace All tie rod ends, both CV shafts, Ball joints etc. ???


For $400 I think there is Minimal work to be done to make it a GREAT CAR

not replacing them yet because i want to get the car together to make sure everything is fixable and fixed before i start spending money in this car. because if i find some thing that is really bad off or will be very expensive to fix i'll part ways. but i do agree with your last comment. just want to make sure tho it doesn't bite me.

thanks for all the comments. i do have some plans. just all depending on money.

update- got the windshield replaced today and start swapping the suspension off the coupe. looks like i'm gonna start driving it more. now here's a couple pics of the one side i got done.
