solstice top cover

I recovered the convertible boots I had from nasty tan to sexy black. I also got a solstice convertible top cover and I'm trying to fab it up on my car. It's going to be easier than I thought.

And my gas cap filler relocation

And sorry I don't have pics with the seats in but I'm in the process of reupholstering them. But If you want to know they line up right behind the humps perfectly.

I got this from a friend who works for a GM test center, he gave it to me so I figured I'd try to see if this fits. Just a little more cutting and It's done. I was thinking either I would paint it to match the car or I will cover it with vinyl.

paint to match!!!! vinyl would be alright, but paint to match would be a one off job. plussssss it looks like you have cayenne red. cant have to much cayenne on a cavy.

you should paint it and mold it to the body.

Actually the gas filler is from a boat, if you go to any boat us you can buy a gas filler that is very clean looking and chrome.

Here are the pics of my progress, I cut the back to fit along the backseat. I have to put a brace in the middle to keep the edges clean along the sides. And then it should fit better all the way around. tell me what you think.

its lookin great. the only thing i see that i dont like is how far to the front it sits. for me, i would put it no further than the doors, since i like to have my seat cocked back a bit while driving.

but i still think this is an amazing idea man! keep it up!

Yea i think i'm going to have to move it back a bit. I'm waiting till I finish my seats so that I can fit everything in better. I'm not even sure the seats will lock back with the top cover this far forward.

I think it will look really good if you can get it to fit correctly.

LoL that is a soltice actual trunk. POS trunk that this car actually has is the only drawback. Creative idea though man! Good luck. Should be sweet as hell looking!
