a little history of what i've had
Phoenix - 1999 Pontiac Sunfire SE
i riced the s**t out of this thing. blitz body kit, SRT4 wheels, underbody neon, f1 mirrors, big wing, and fart can. it ended up wreck and totaled. here are pix
Akira - 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24
i learned from my first car and did this one better. flowmaster exhaust, msr 190 wheels, 00-02 trunk w/00-02 tails, kyb agx shocks/struts w tein s tech lowering springs, 00-02 headlight swap, customized 95-99 z bumper, ss hood
i had to trade her in because instead of painting her, i decided it was time for a new car
Cortana - 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt Turbocharged SS
i plan on paying her off in three years. along the way i want to buy Hahn parts. and other parts i may like too. as for exterior, i may make my own projector headlights for HIDs, i will get a carbon fiber SS hood, and lower her on coilovers
C & C welcome
Great progression!, you know who I love the most though
.
Mmmmm, Cortana baby.
Cortana wins!
failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
Stock and dropped FTW. Car looks great as it sits

thank you. that's what i keep telling everyone
Id be careful dropping that Cobalt, GM spent a ton of time turning the suspension on the SS to get it to handle awesome. Unless you get a real quality setup you might hurt more then help. Nice looking car though. I cant wait to get my hands on one.
97 Cavalier 2.2 5-speed, 88 Camaro IROC-Z 5.7 auto, 91 Firebird Formula 5.7 auto, 88 Conquest TSi 2.6T 5 speed, 93 Silverado ECSB 5.7 auto, 83 Mazda RX-7

yeah, i've read all that GM did engineering the suspension on the Nurburgring track. i'm not going to take the first setup i can find and lower it.
lowering will happen after the warranty is up anyways. hopefully a good replacement suspension will be available
Noquarters right be very careful. I've heard horror stories about people trying to make thye Lotus Elise handle better and truly ruining the feel of the suspension.
But at the same time a company that knows how to tune a cars suspension very well usually comes out with amazing parts.
yes, i have heard some stories too. i love the suspension the way it handles now so i am hesitant about lowering it anyways
but i will still get a hood for it.
the carbon SS hood (or SS hood in general) should have come with the new turbo SS cobalt.

how do you like your cobalt ss turbo? i was considering that, the gti, or the mazdaspeed 3.....
do you miss your j?
it really is a fun car to drive. the seats have been done by GM Performance Division this time instead of recaro seats that are stiff. these are fat-kid friendly!
the brembo brakes are great for fast braking in case you need them. i'm getting 25mpg right now. it's nice to know the power is there when you need it
look at all the comparison test with the new cobalt and it outperforms it's rivals easily
dodge sr4 caliber, mazdaspeed3, vw gti mk v, and others it's put up against
i test drove the speed3. felt slow and bulky. looked the part too. i wanted a sunroof and all the colors they come in are ugly imo
im jealous,i wont lie,im considering selling my j,and my redline and getting one...
go out and test drive one! that's what sealed the deal for me. i didn't buy the one i test drove because it was black
i did, however, drive 100 miles to pick up my Imperial Blue Metallic balt !!
i can't get enough of watching people go
