I knew this day would come.
I dont know exactly when it will be rebuilt but it probably wont be in time for either bash. I have other important things to take care of first. I just have this amazingly crappy ability to not pass up great offers on things that I would love to use.
My first head met an untimely end, hopefully this one will last longer.

It happens to the best of us Clyde....

Yay
Nothing better than an indigo turbo ld9!!
I tend to use "It's a true value" When I pick things up used and it's a decent deal. It's worked on Pam so far but after all the money I spent this year, I'm not sure how many times I can use that line. I'll have to come up with something different
Better luck with this one

LOL. I was going to say my head is an uber slut now.
I want some break in dyno numbers on a naturally aspirated engine Clyde. I'll gladly pay for the dyno run.

When I rebuild it will be the second head that has been in the hands of the same guy. I still need a few parts (mostly expensive) before I can even think about machine work (need lots of that done as well).
That head is a slut and I should be the first to actually use it.
Indigo blue FTMFW.
Break in dyno numbers may happen, depends on how teh budget and time line happen.
Plan goes as such:
ported head
.430/222 cams
HO intake
Manifold, turbo, and DP as in the pics (skillz old setup)
3" after DP
Possibly WG dump
TiAL 38mm WG
TiAL 50mm BOV
2.5" charge pipes
Some intercooler
9:1 CR Diamond Racing pistons (coated)
2.3 oil pump swap
RB Racing scavange pump (oil return to timing housing)
most important of all will be a fresh block
I love Sven!
Awesome buddy!
Throw it on the 98! Eff PDT!

What's this about? "RB Racing scavange pump (oil return to timing housing)"

I am not sure if I am going to be able to make the bash either. I am hoping to have a fresh motor by then

Basicly I want to build a drain resivior and use a scavenge pump to return the oil to a better location than the block. Its the same pump as you would get from STS when doing a remote mount setup. Sanpping a 57/64" drill bit sucks and I dont want to deal with that again.
My current engine was put together wrong back in 07 and actually held up a lot longer than expected. I had limited time and funds and rushed it. Thankfully I didnt grenade it and I can reuse most of the parts. Still need new pistons and a block though.
This may be a winter 09 build, spring 2010 debut. Saving for and finding a house takes priority.
Beautiful manifold! The right way to do them!
