why not just do the top swap prob cheaper and would pro have more power due to higher compression.

the s/c motor has forged botom end from the factory and the series 2 motor is accually smaller physically and its a better motor over all

The engine is the same size, the accesory system is smaller though. Last I knew (directly from a GM engineer) the 3800 series II never had forged internals, just really beefy parts. Hell the LS7 even uses hyperutenic pistons.

the series 2 motor is accually smaller by 1.5 in.

In what dimension? The physical engine should be the same. The accessory crap is different as is the mounting of the coil pack, however as far as I could ever tell the actual engine is the same size.

man that motor bay is a rats nest, and it looks like you need a set of valve cover/intake gaskets on that thing like last week.

the physical engine size is smaller the series 1 was alot wider
as for cleaning it i need time to do so other wise it would be out and already clean as for the wiring im going to go through and
redo all the wiring and re locate to ecm

All I could come up with is a reduced deck height, not sure how big of a difference that makes though.

I just have a hard time seeing them move 1.5" over a series I.
