Project: Fix this piece of crap

Well the winter has taken a toll on my Cav. Since the cash flow is finally coming back, I think it's time to start getting it back in shape!

This is how she looks now:

Yeah, just plain bad!

Finally got some new tires. They're so nice! My old ones were pretty bald.

The exhaust is just kind of hanging there, damn speed bumps

and this is what I get for going to school in Detroit

Next week my new suspension is going on. Eibach sportlines and KYB struts. I know I know, but I consider it an upgrade and I personally feel the the front of my Cav is way too low right now. My work and my apartment complex has some pretty intense speed bumps. Then afterwards I'm getting an alignment and having my front wheel bearings replaced. Somewhere in there I have to figure out how to fix both the front and rear skirts. I'm going to see if it's cheaper to have the stock exhaust fixed rather than getting a whole new setup. I kind of like it quiet anyways.

Later I'll update on the paint. New paint is definitely on the wishlist this summer but I highly doubt I'll be able to afford it. I'll update everything further as I go along!

The sedan's got ripped off by a snow bank and is now drilled, zip-tied, and self-tapping screwed on. Women.

Exhaust is probably just the muffler hanger, see those break on those all the time.

The lip happened from a pothole in downtown Detroit. And my guess is that it's just the exhaust hanger too but I feel like there might be something wrong up front from the car slamming on the speed bumps. I might just take it in to get an estimate for everything.

The paint is a b!tch isn't it mark.

I am planning on spraying my car this spring.

The stock color is pretty pricey.

car still looks good even with the few imperfections it has... if u feel the front end is too low now why put sportlines on it why not the pro kit instead as thoughs would be better suited to the KYB's??? just a thought...

.. thats why I'm fixing it now..

I could see how you'd think it's laziness. To fill you in a little better, I am a full time art student and I've had very little to no money to fix it.

nice defense.. 1 hour to fix it all? zipzip the lip and new exhaust hanger is like $10?

It's a pricey color compared to all the other cavalier colors except maybe 1 or 2.

Good luck with it mark.

Just zip tie the lips in place.
and like Phewes said, the hanger isn't expensive by any means.

Should just take the lips off in the winter months and put them back on in the spring

If thats a piece of crap then I must be driving a $hit bucket! Looks like all you need to me is a 15 minute fix and a detail .

What suspension is on in the pics? Looks low in the front, but stock in the back?

I miss jay van. I'm getting the the suspension from slc. I know I'm paying a little bit more for installation but I can't sit on this. With my schedule, I need to get it on and be on my way. I guess I don't see you as often because I've been wrongfully banned from jbom. Really sucks as I was hoping to be part of it.
