Posted a couple months ago about this being the second time this has happened in this car. Now I finally had time to tear it apart.

Chunking sound from the starter makes broken teeth.


You can see the missing teeth

Here you can see marks on the flywheel itself near the bolt for the pressure plate



It looks like the starter was over shooting the flywheel teeth and just punched them out.
Any ideas?

'02 J with a L61 swap out of (I think) an '03 that had an auto bolted onto it originally. Don't think it matters but anyway.
Any help is cool
