this is gonna be fun!! more time in garage.....some breaktime from my fiance....


these pics were snapped this am.







1998 Malibu hub bearing (5x115) will not fit into cavalier swing arm's mount.

just fyi.. front is done by NWF thread. Thanks to C.T.S for all help.

as for rear I know you guys are probably going to say go with IRS setup..... ...got my reasons why not go with this....
anyways

98-02 camaro brake kit is going in rear.

front has em done..



going to remove this and have it customized.

Just an idea, If you have clearance @ the Fender lip, then Just make a 3/8" thick Adapter Plate, Trim the OEM mount as neccessary and Weld the New mount to it.

The hell with an adapter plate. Cut the old plate off and weld a new plate on in its place.

ya, this will work if I do have clearance at the fender lip.... just did some measure yesterday..... no good for me...

using 19x8.5 at 235 tire size. I want to keep 235... I have figured out if I cut the mount on the swing arm shorter then I have this solved.

Just FYI the stock cavalier hub/bearing is an inch long in length then the malibu 98+ hub/bearing. some advantage 4 sure.

yeah.... extending the arm is another project.. at least its not gonna take long anymore after we have done on urs b4...

going to be fun to get together again in garage.. have some beers and get this done...
