So much for keeping the changes small this year. this somewhat fell in my lap from a good friend of mine so i took advantage of it. just got started on it today. actually got started on two things.

first is a new trailing arm in the rear that is a bit longer so when the car is sitting on the ground the wheel is still centered.
pulled the stock one off last night and me and s1lver drove down to louisville to swap it out for aarons. i know i didnt build it myself. but hey can't do it all right.



next was something that came from the same buddy in louisville so allot of the prep work goes out to him i just have to install it and do some finish work on it to get her going. a new learning experience for me.







so it's teardown time, got allot to take care of before winged warriors. but the goal is to be there showing again this year since i missed out last year.




drilled out the battery tray so it will have to go back to the painters when i get the turbo complete






first day, me and ben got a few hours in on the car, got the saab intake manifold on, the fuel rail, 42lb injectors and fuel lines all ran.

well thats how it stands, were going to work on it a bit this week and then next weekend mockup the turbo and work on the downpipe and wastegate piping so i can get those parts welded up and off to get ceramic coated. i'll be updating this post with more info and pics. enjoy.

WOWSERS!!!! Just when I thought this car couldn't get any better. To those who have not gotten to see this thing in person...IT'S AMAZING!!! It looks good in pics, but you don't get the whole aspect of just how awesome the car really looks. Nice to get a little umph with all those good looks bud. I'll be watching.

i agree with everything. this has got to be one of the absolute best turbo setup's ive seen built on a j-body. and i love to see it go to a true j-body enthusiast and not some young puke that would throw it on a daily driver and hack it to all hell and back.

dont see why aaron builds a car just to sell/part it out but whatever floats his boat i guess.

That's a perfect addition to your car. Sucks to have to deal with the blank spot where the battery tray was, though.
But it's a good excuse to have the new parts painted with the theme at the same time.

some answers to some questions

right now im going to get it running then the charge pipes for now will be repainted silver to match the car. later down the line those will be removed and replaced with a nice polished set.

mesh in the bumper will be removed im almost 99% certain.

right now wiring and such is a bit of a mess. once the car is up and running i'll clean it up a bit, but dont think im going to do to much with it since it may be getting redone next year, well the engine bay anway.


i think aaron just was getting tired of working on j's all the time, so he took his car back to a daily driver. its not like he doesnt have michelles car to work on, and the mini and the solstice. sometimes you just have to take a break from things, and he was nice enough to let me go broke and take the wrath of my wife spending money that i shouldn't be spending lol.

LOL. I always just chalked up your build it, then sell it (or part it out), as being a love for the building more than the ownership.
