First off, i cleaned the cars: my 99 sunfire and the wifes 00 passat (or as i like to call it, the "POSsat")










Here is the POSSIBLE update: but I'm not sure how i feel about it so im lookin for more input.
I saw this while pickin up some paint for our outside light fixtures and thought the color could look pretty sweet with white and be a small change from the current black. Got around to paint one hubcap to see what it looks like:

My thoughts: i kinda like the color combo, its something a little different the black that ive had for a while now... BBBUUUTTTT does it make it more obvious that they're hubcaps? not that you can deny that at all...but makes the fact more obvious...

So what do you think? paint the rest, or leave em black!?

Your car is so clean and simple. Just the way I like my Sunfires! It really sucks to see the rust becoming visible on the outside of the car. I took a good look at the underside of mine yesterday and it is rusted pretty good. Fortunately for me it hasn't become visible on the outside of the car yet, but in another year or two who knows. Rust FTL.

I really like the look of the new color. It almost looks like it's bronze. What color is it? Graphite? Either way I vote for the new color.

Let me know about the exhaust. I was thinking if nothing else, if I could fit it in my car, perhaps I could drop it off to you on my way to the Bash. I really just want to get rid of it because it's taking up so much space in the shed. Let me know.

steelies < clean lookin hubs imo

the color is kinda hard to explain... its like like bronze hooked up with graphite. as for the exhaust, i do want it... but since i lost my job and am having no luck finding an equal replacement i have no monies to spend on the car. If you're coming through on the bash and can fit it, depending on the day and time I would be more than welcome to meet you somewhere (any idea on what route you'd be takin?).

I like both shades of those hubcaps. Sad to see some rust though.

Set of 95/96Grand AM GT wheels would work nicely.

But if you're trying to keep the caps, I'd say paint them all the satin black. Looks great!

better than yours?? why do you say this? you had a shop paint your, right?! I spray bombed mine... along with the handles and mirrors. So i bet yours actually looks better...

so far im kinda leanin to painting the rest to at least see if i like it... worst case is just to paint them black again or maybe i'll take a poll for a nother color! thanks for all you suggestions so far... keep em comin

I like the gunmetal looking caps..

Just say no to steelies..Any hub cap is better than a bare steelie!, and as for people "knowing" or "being able to tell they are hubcaps"...Its obvious..but I think it looks pretty nice and pretty close to OEM with the gunmetal colored! Do them all!

i say go with day glo orange hub caps. let them babies stand out. represent for the hubcap community yo.

I'm indifferent on the hubbies, but please take care of that rust before it gets any worse. Even if you sand, grind, or blast it, then seal and spray bomb it.
