This was dropped off today for me to work on. Already have it running proper again.
So far we can tell it is a 03+ intending to get boost.
Well the motor that was in the car was crap, so it got a update!
Once they finish the charge piping this bone stock LD9 with a 2.3 LO intake manifold will be making 300WHP.

Weird spot for the turbo and I don't like the fact that part of the brake system is laying on the manifold. Other than that nice build.

Actually it this same motor has already made 266whp on a twin charged set-up. Now without the charger it can make more, easier, less heat.

just fine, no effect on me at all,
and i dont see the big deal about hacking a 2.4 into an eco car. or hacking on a turbo kit.
and ill agree with # of eco swaps vs # of 2.4 swaps. that and a big name around here switching to eco REAL soon....
Im a Quad guy but I still wouldnt swap back to a Quad from an ecotec. I like the turbo kit custom install....looks good...not seen very much. Oh...need another ground wire anyone? J/K...I had to say it.

Love the ld9 in an eco car. Im a quad guy but I know for sure most people do eco swap's, Id say mainly cause quad's arent made anymore and the ecotec is the new gm motor with more of an aftermarket.
Wasnt this setup in a white vert z? What happened to that?
not to mention the fact eco's are so much easier to work on...

The work aspect is all a matter of perspective. I find Quad4/TC engines easier to work on than the Eco.
I have always wanted to to an "eco swap" in a 03+ if thats all i can find when i go to replace one of my cars.

Ok, some background.
This motor and turbo set-up was in a white vert. With the GM charger that I now own. It made 266whp. The owner of the car wrecked it badly. His roommate bought this car with a Ecotec in it at a insurance auction very cheap. The owner of the vert wanted a Ecotec so they swapped. I bought the charger, and we are going to see what the LD9 can do without the charger holding it back now. Once this is up and running on boost then the vert will be next. After a front end rebuild.
