watch the wires by the pedals there.
rims are ok. i like the stance u have there tho.
WiGM-Tuners member.
inflate those tires!!
I like it though, nice stance, clean simple engine bay.
I like the smple 5 spoke design of the rims, I'm not much for having flashy rims. I'm painting the fuel rail black next. I'm loving the stance, and the handling is amazing with the drop and sway bar.
Brandon - Haven't had a good shot of it yet, got it filled today and I'm getting a bottle heater tomorrow. I'll know then
02redbadged- I was rewiring my volt gauge, that is fixed now
CLC - Thanks! I think my front right has a slow leak, I'm gonna have to look at it closer here in a little bit.
what did you use to paint your valve cover?
03 cavalier
us amps 100hc running at .5 ohms
digital designs 3512
yellow top g34
kenwood ddx-8019
Just the high gloss engine enamel from auto zone.
Thanks for all the comments guys. I plan on doing some autocross this spring/summer. I should be picking up racing seats this week sometime.
got my bottle heater in tonight...wow..that is some fun stuff...traction kinda sucked because it was a little wet out, so i'm excited to see what it will do when it's dry.
Cav's really looking nice man. Keep up the good work. Whenever you are in town and want have a little run, give me a call maybe we can do a photo shoot afterward.
Once again looks great bro.
Thanks man..I'll prolly be home all easter weekend.. we'll have to go out for a little cruise..I wanna ride in the new balt..
What did you use to paint the coil pack red?
13.520 @ 98mph! 220whp 234tq
Ride nothing bro, you really want I'll let you drive. I trust you. Which weekend is Easter I'll see about getting a day off.
98z24ragtop - lol yeah NAAAWWZZ..fun stuff though...I'm likin the stance, gotta be careful with everything here in columbus though. I've always loved this style of rim, I think they like kind of cheap and generic in pictures, but look great on the car in person. I love the clean look with the stance and rims.
02cav- I just sanded sprayed some primer and normal spray can paint..doesn't get too hto so shouldn't be a problem..I thought it came out well though..
Terry- that'd be pretty sweet, I think it is next weekend actually.
In my head I think I keep going towards How I think a Cavalier SS should have looked stock. Maybe that's where my inspiration is coming from with the wheels, stance and other mods, I like kinda subtle mods, nothing really flashy. I had a kid come up today at the car wash and tell me he liked my cobalt...hahahaha...
I've also had a few people ask what it is and said they really liked it...kinda sad..only thing I've really done is remove the badges. It's nice to have people say they normally don't like cavy's but think mine looks good. Kind of makes it worth it. Again, thanks for the comments guys! I'll always take comments and criticism along with suggestions on what should come next.
I think I get paid that weekend so maybe we can meet up at bdubs or something.
You remember rob, guy with the 05 red SS/SC stage 2 cobalt here in town? He was telling me not to long ago that he raced some guy where he was stationed. Guy drove a Monte Carlo SS (not sure of the year) but when they came back around the guy looked at Rob and said "What the hell did you do to that Cavalier?" I honestly don't get the confusion as the two cars look nothing alike. It is good to hear you got some cavi-haters liking your car though. I had a kid ask me what mine was before I sold it. He was lost when I said just a cavalier.
Like I said keep up the work man, it's coming together nicely.
