Newt's '09 Progress Thread

Hello,

I don't post on here much but I figured I'd throw up some photos of what I've been up to lately.

I'm building the car for N/A with just bolt ons this year, cams and head next year or if I run into some money this year....lol

Anyways onto the photos, lots of photos...

Innovate Wideband

Lower Mount and Poly Tranny Bushings

Aluminum Contorl Arms with Poly Bushings from the GP

Wideband Gauge Intalled

LSJ Injectors

M&H Racemaster DOT Drag Slicks (235/60-14)

M&H Tires Mounted on Oldsmobile Calais 442 Wheels (14lbs a wheel) (With tires 30.5lbs per corner)

OBX Header (Don't Make Fun...lol)

3" Cut-Out from Summit Racing

LZM Upper Motor Mount

Upper Motor Mount Installed

Lower Motor Mount Installed

Drag Tires/Wheels Installed for Test Fit

Couldn't resist breaking in the Drag tires a little.....

Header and Cut-Out are being installed next weekend as well I might try and tackle the tranny mounts during the week if not next weekend.

Control Arms are going on when I find some time as well as the injectors and tune.

First race is the end of May, I'm hoping for mid-high 14's. Hopefully I can get everything installed in time as well as pick up a few other goodies.

My best run of '08 is in my signature, as is the mods I had at the time. The car definitely had a high 14 in it last year but I mostly race in Bracket Racing competitions so I didn't want to break out.

I'll keep updating this Thread as I make more progress....Hope you enjoy!

Very nice, love this car. Def gona be in the fastest n/a eco records one day. I see a mid-low 14 pass with these mods and a decent tune.

Cut-Out was on sale at Summit Racing for like $20 if I remember correctly.

LZM Upper Mount is awesome, no vibes at idle and only very little when taking off or when loading the engine at low RPM. It makes the car feel alot more solid, which is awesome. Also helped out HUGE with wheel hop. All-in-All its a great product!

Cut-Out/Header and Control Arms are being installed this Friday so I'll post more pics then.

Thanks for all the comments guys!!!

Lanman31337 -F = fatties = do not want. A little chunk in the junk is ok though.

The control arms are definitely a nice piece! They got rid of the little wheel hop that was left over after I installed my Motor Mounts.

I'll try and get a video of the Cut-Out, problem is the car is so loud its hard to find an appropriate time/place to do it.

It's an exhaust dump, I pull that plate off and the car become open-header.

Thanks guys, I can't believe how rich the car runs with the stock tune.

I'm getting around 12.2 - 12.6 once in Power Enrichment, Is that about right???
